Does anyone know cheap hotel in Abuja?
It depends on the quality. A good one for a day can cost about 7k to 20k. There might be cheaper options but this is the on I know of.

August 4 is a Saturday. I have my appointment on that day.

Meanwhile, everybody keeps telling me the US Embassy doesn't give a weekend date.

Am I the only one on the 4th?

No you are not. As a matter of fact, My interview was rescheduled from July 30th to August 4th to my greatest dissatisfaction having taken few days leave from work already.

Told myself I wouldn't post anything on NL until something big changes for me.

July 2016: F1 visa approved.
July 2018: GC approved.
July 2018: Job offer accepted.

I'm now a legal permanent resident of this place... and I'm starting my job at progressive insurance on Monday 8/6 in the claims department. Not the best job in the world but I'd take $50k p.a. right now considering all I've been through lol. My second part-time job will earn me between $4h and $1k a month too so... not a bad start.

Now I can come back to NL and give advice like the old days to anyone who wants it. I don't remember the username of that guy who used to tackle me all the time with "body go tell you" posts. Baba, if you can read this, whether it's luck or not, I didn't encounter any of those scary things you predicted o.

Prospective NLers chasing the American dream, ask me whatever you need to know. Against all odds, I came here to study stupid course in a stupid school without any funding. 2 years later, it's all history. It took a bit of luck but who cares? I'm in a better place and that's what matters.

Don't let any keyboard warrior discourage you from chasing your dreams... keep sleeping! Lol.

Please I need expert advise in the house, had my first interview on 17th of July but was denied, planning on applying tomorrow, my issue is i filled in my dad as my sponsor at first then went with both my dad and my mum's bank statement due to the total amount of money in my dad's account...I was denied visa. I'm planning on reapplying, my mum's account is actually better than my dad's due to the in flow and outflow of cash. My dad is a salary earner as well and makes over 400grand but his account history is not as solid as my mum's. He's account is always left with about 10-30k monthly my mum has stable money in her account monthly. Please kindly advise what i should do should i stick with my dad's account or change it to my mum i plan on reapplying tomorrow. Thanks

Peter

This doesn't matter. On my DS-160, I used my mother as sponsor. But during the interview, I presented my parents' financial documents and my visa was issued.

Ensure that the total balance in your parents' accounts is approximately 2(X); where X is the I-20 amount.

This transcript sounds like almost everything was copied from the Internet. You probably got most of this answers from the school's website. Try to make your answers more personal and don't cram so you won't sound like a robot during your interview. Why are you talking about the ranking of the online business school when you are not going for online school? Don't talk about ranking and accreditation because a lot of schools are better ranked and are also accredited. Instead you can talk about the affordability and other qualities that you value in the school. Just remember to make it more personal and you will get your visa.

Thanks. ]

in my first interview ,
I spoke about the success of the school, the school been recommended by friend undergoing her masters in ohio university and also the fact the school offerred me graduate assistantships to pay tuition at an instate rate rather than as an international student and how this lead a a $8000 deduction in my tuition and fees.

the way the consular cut me off was as if I didn't do enough research on my school. ....

secondly, aside the response to question 1, most of the other responses are in my own modification. ...

what do I do differently? ?

why are you lying naaaaa
if you get into this country 2016 you can never ever and i say again never ever get a permanent resident card which is 10 years green card and after that you will file for citizenship in 3 years
what you have is probably 2 YEARS TEMPORARY GREEN CARD or also called CONDITIONAL GREEN CARD
i have seen lots of people that was given 2 years green card that you have and was not given a 10 years green card which is the real one,i mean alot and alot of guys here have 2 years green card but when it expire they cant renew it to the real permanet resident card which is 10 years green card that will make you be eligible to file for citizenship after 3 years

and again if you really get here 2016 and you really have a green card ,what you have a 2 temporary green card that is going to expire and not the real and original green card that is for 10 years that will make you eligible for citizenship in 3 years

stop coming here telling lies and thinking old members dont read these post,i read this post everyday and just dont comment

please guys I need your honest thought on my transcript so far, I will upload the other part later .

I think this post looks very good to me only if you can remember everything you wrote down.
The only part you need to work on is this (wtamu is ranked #36 best online MBA program for MBA programs)

*(it is also ranked one of the best online specialised grade business programs). you are not doing an online program so is best you don't talk about it. (That's my own little opinion though) I am also going for the same course in the same school. I was also denied visa, i posted my transcript as well. But this time i want to take my time and ensure that i am well prepared before going to another interview. I am also practicing seriously and i think i need someone i could practice with and share ideas, what do you think? can you inbox me your number so we can practice together? or email?

Lol.

Beautiful story ..... but some missing xxxxx in the narrative ooo. wink wink

Congrats ... and keep doing you . It working and that what counts

Going back to say you're married is tantamount to providing contradicting/inconsistent information, especially if you tender your marriage certificate and it indicates that you've been married before your first interview. That would amount to providing false information, which is risky.

I would suggest you go by the way of your landed property to prove your tie to Nigeria. Regardless of the title document you have, even if it's the purchase receipt only, that would do. And hope you're lucky.
Hi Presidae, thanks alot for your advise, i will go with your advise as you have said.

One way, I have compared them, they are about the same price range.

Fly airmaroc from Lagos to jfk at $1250

Then fly American airlines from jfk to Houston. Cost should be average of $400

Your total should be around $1650 (594k)

He said he got here July 2016 and this is july 2018
It is not possible
What he probably have is a conditional green card

Since you are proposing to study on campus and not online. I think you shouldn't include the bolded part.

Cos the V. O may ask you why do you want to travel when the school has online study option.

Check emirates. Use promotion code NGSTU18. you might be lucky. Houston might be one of the states benefiting from the promo.

C'mon man, why the negative vibe. Be happy for your fellow man and wish him success in his future endeavours. What actually makes you think he won't be able to get the permanent GC after 10 years. Try think positive at all times.

Moreover he said GC, he didn't say permanent GC.
Temporary or permanent, all na still GC at this point of discussion.
Abayomin70:

guy cool down and stop lying
why are you lying naaaaa
if you get into this country 2016 you can never ever and i say again never ever get a permanent resident card which is 10 years green card and after that you will file for citizenship in 3 years
what you have is probably 2 YEARS TEMPORARY GREEN CARD or also called CONDITIONAL GREEN CARD
i have seen lots of people that was given 2 years green card that you have and was not given a 10 years green card which is the real one,i mean alot and alot of guys here have 2 years green card but when it expire they cant renew it to the real permanet resident card which is 10 years green card that will make you be eligible to file for citizenship after 3 years

and again if you really get here 2016 and you really have a green card ,what you have a 2 temporary green card that is going to expire and not the real and original green card that is for 10 years that will make you eligible for citizenship in 3 years

stop coming here telling lies and thinking old members dont read these post,i read this post everyday and just dont comment
and if you want to start an argument with me,i will do the maths for you with link from USCIS.GOV website
