Political Career

Prince Uche Secondus started full time politics in the 1978 where He served as Rivers State Youth Leader of the National Party of Nigeria (NPN).

By 1993, He was Rivers State Publicity Secretary of the National Republican Convention (NRC), A position he held till 1998.

He became a Two term Chairman of the Rivers State People’s Democratic Party from 2002-2008 where he was nicknamed the “Total Chairman”, which led to his influence of heading the G.84 Group in the National Executive Committee (NEC)

In 2007, Secondus was the South-South Coordinator for the PDP National Campaign Council that organized the campaigns for the party during that year’s general elections which led to the party’s victory in the south.
