Who did he play out of position yesterday? Rashford and Martial. And if those two can't play and be effective from the wings, then they have no business at United.

Raheem Sterling is banging in goals playing from the wings. Ronaldo started from there as a young player. So did Thierry Henry. If they are not versatile enough then we should get players who are.

If you need wingers, buy wingers stop converting strikers to wingers.
Martial is more of a wing forward not a winger and they were not played as wingers yesterday, they were played as attacking midfielders, a position for mykhitaryan and mata.

Why not he plays his useless sacred cow Lukaku on the wing.
Mourinho just wants to be called a genius that is why he is exhibiting rubbish.

Sterling has always been a winger/wing forward.

I'm glad you said he should buy wingers. When he does and confines Martial and Rashford to the bench, no one should complain that he didn't give young players a chance. I'm also sure you meant inside forwards and not "wing forward". And actually, that is what they play most times. Rashford and Martial rarely take the ball to the byline like natural wingers are want to do. Instead, they cut inside and move in-field towards goal. Only one striker can play up front. So, if Rashford and Martial want to be competing for one spot with Lukaku and Zlatan rather than owning a spot on the team, they can continue.

Valencia, Young, Moses, Fabian Delph are all wingers converted to wing backs taking on attacking and defensive roles, and you're telling me that converting strikers into inside forwards or wingers is a difficult task. The players had better adapt and improve, or they'll be facing a long spell on the bench or on loan next season.

We blamed Moyes, we blamed LVG, now it is Mourinho. When will these prima donna players apply themselves like they respect the badge they wear? Yesterday's game was won by grit and graft by Bristol City players, not superior tactics or technique.

They are not playing as inside forwards, they play as wing forwards. Inside forwards are either SS or AM.
Martial and Radford wait on the touch line to receive the ball, attempt to run, run, cut in, shoot or pass, they wait mostly in the opposition third.
The problem is mourinho is using this guy's more as wingbacks , as you see them defending and by the time, they have the ball, they opponent has regrouped.
He should, tell his attacking players to have the confidence to remain upfield and wait for the ball.

You said the players had better attack or move on,
You forget that versatility is an attribute in football and not everyone has it. You don't kill a players natural talent while building another talent in him, when you have people with better qualities that you are trying to build in him.
Players move if the system don't fit them, e.g Di Maria and Depay so no big deal

It is the coach's responsibility to make the team play well and win.
So we will blame whoever is in charge as we are the ones paying them.

And we are not paying the players? Did Martial or Rashford play as wingbacks yesterday? You really should check our stats over the last 6-7 years to know that this goes beyond baying at Mourinho. In the last two season under Fergie, our shooting accuracy was about 37-38% (Goals in season 80+). Under Moyes and LVG, it dropped to between 33-35% (Goals in season 49-64). Mourinho has actually brought it back to within 36-37% over the last one and a half seasons even with all the complaints of being defensive.

If wingers like Sterling, Mo Salah, Mane and co, can get goals consistently, then I see no reason why our own players (wing forwards as you call them) have to be so wasteful in front of goal. We had almost double the number of shots Bristol City had yesterday(19-11), and yet they had more on target than we did(5-6) and scored more. Meaning their players were more accurate.

Mourinho has his faults no doubt, but there's only so much a coach can do to instil confidence into players. There comes a point where players have to reach deep and bring it out from within. A coach won't get on the field to do the job. That's why former players like Scholes, Roy Keane and Ferdinand sometimes criticise this generation of United players. They seem to lack grit and ambition.

Lastly, natural talent is overrated. Hard work is what makes champions. Just ask Ronaldo. To be a great player, you have to add more to your natural talent and be able to constantly evolve it when necessary. Both Martial and Rashford have the potential and skill set to play out wide and bring the ball inside with great pace and technique. We've seen them do it. They just need to be more consistent and accurate with the end product.

Everything is not just about criticizing the coach. We need to point out where players err too so they can improve.

While your analysis is right in some places, it still has a lot of fault.
Mourinho has had 3 transfer windows and over 300 million to get his type of players and instill his phone( that is if he has any) .

You don't employ an accountant and say because you pay him, he should do the work of an engineer without adequate training,no matter the passion it won't work. Also if you give him such training and he has no passion for the new role ,it won't work.

When we were being attacked, martial and rashford were back, helping the defence. For a team like Bristol city, that should not have happened.
This leads to isolation of the main striker, and our main striker yesterday lacked pace. by the time we are at their box, they are organized and we lack shooting space, compared to the first goal they scored us.
Under Ferguson,we rarely went above 45% ball possession, except during fergie time, yet our counter was terrific because we used the right personnel and tactics.
It is not about heart, it is tactics.
Natural talent is not overrated,
But Natural talent without hard work is.

Bro, the bolded is not entirely true. You can go and watch the game again or check the highlight on Youtube. Martial and Rashford, even Pogba didn't track back so much to help the defence. They often moved into wide positions waiting to receive the ball for a counter. Compare that with the defensive work put in against Liverpool at Anfield.

And the same thing our own wide players couldn't do was what Joe Bryan did in scoring Bristol's first goal. He intercepted a United throwing midway in his own half, skinned a player, passed the ball on and raced on into our box. With just two passes the same player was receiving the ball and blasting it past Romero.

Heart won yesterday's game, not tactics. Bristol City players were hungrier for the win. Having beaten three EPL teams already, they had confidence and belief. They were pressing us hard right from our goalkeeper. Our players showed up believing their own hype and got punished. These same players have been playing from the same positions and we've beaten better teams with huge scorelines, so yesterday's loss had nothing to do with playing out of position. It just had to do with a lackadaisical attitude to the game. It showed clearly.

Except your game is different from my own , Cox I remember martial and rashford very deep in our half, united started attacking when we were scored.

United were rubbish yesterday and have been rubbish for some time.
We need to know our first eleven.
Are we an attacking team, counter attacking or possession based.

Right now Manchester united football has no pattern.
Did you see how many back pass we made jest when someone could have run with the ball, what does that tell you lack of confidence.
Who inspires confidence in a team.
Why is their lack of confidence.

Left for me , united should forget about winning for some time, and develop a pattern.

Harry Kane is a big boy.
So is Erickson, wyama and Hugo Lloris.

If it were to be Sir Alex ,we never would have gotten Ibrahimovic neither would Pogba have come back at such ridiculous amount.
In fact all this social media craze would not have been allowed.

It's high time United decide what they want as a Football team.

You are mistaking personality for ego.
We don't know each individuals ego.

They all have huge personalities, they only difference is man united players have more social status due to the popularity of the club.
Some united players are being used as brands that is why it looks like they are being pampered.

Sir Alex would never have allowed it get to this stage.

United is the Brand, not United players.
