The Ogun government says it has paid the December and the 13th - month salary to its workers since Wednesday ahead of the festive period .

The State Commissioner for Finance, Mr Wale Osinowo, disclosed this while defending the ministry ’ s 2018 budget estimate before the House Committee on Finance and Appropriation , in Abeokuta.

The commissioner said that this was despite the fact that the state government has yet to receive the last tranche of the Paris Club Refund .
He explained that the state government used the first tranche of the Paris Club Refund to pay the salary of its workers .

“ On the Paris Club Refund , guidelines were set by the Federal government and the state government has been following it to the letter.

“ When we got the second tranche , we used 75 per cent for settlement of salaries and deductions of workers while the remaining 25 per cent was used to execute projects .

“ We are yet to receive the third tranche of the refund , ” he said .
He added that the state government had also cleared the severance package of former political office holders at the state level.
The commissioner said that by the first quarter of 2018 , the state government would clear the severance allowance of former local government political office holders .

“ The amount to be paid between 2007 -2011 is N 540 m while the amount between 2011 and 2015 stands at N 560 m which makes it just over N 1 . 1 bn to be paid as severance to the local government political office holders .

“ Before the first quarter of 2018 , we will ensure we settle the severance allowance , ” he said .
He explained that the ministry had earmarked the sum of N 5. 2bn as its recurrent expenditure for 2018 while capital expenditure would gulp N 200m .
Osinowo added that the 2018 budget of the state tagged “Budget of Accelerated Development” was workable and realistic.

Responding , House Committee Chairman on Finance, Olusola Bankole , said that the Finance ministry was important to the development of the state .
Other members of the committee advised the ministry to ensure the prompt release of money to Ministries , Departments and Agencies for better performance.

Can we please hear from the employees. I remember Fashola saying that Buhari's adminstration has delivered more Power supply, but it seems my side is not part of Nigeria

Ogun State is the fastest growing state in Nigeria.
Unsurprisingly, it has the fastest growing IGR, the fastest growing industrial hub, and fastest growing real investor sector.

And of course, it’s a Yoruba State.

Ogun, ise ya!

I stand with GT Bank!

Aregbesola has commissioned more projects than any governor in a space of 3 years.

Aregbe deserves the same merit.

The shrine that collected the skulls paid the 13th month salary

During census, they don't count people like you among human beings.

They'll say
"Baba Shibuke has 2 wives, 7 children 1 pig and 3 STDs".

That's why Kanu referred to you as pigs and idiots.

Not just that,

Aregbe has commissioned more more projects than all the 5 SE Governors put together, their predecessors and ancestors combined.

Can we please hear from Anambra’s employees about ugwu exportation?

They planted 2 plots of ugwu, fulani herdsmen stepped in and did environmental sanitation with their cows, Obiano compensated the fulanis for a job well done.

Imagine fulani cows eating up their farms and Obiano gave the fulanis money to buy water for the cows to drink. Balanced diet Governor. cheesy grin

Brown roof republic abeg give way with ur yellow teeth syndrome

You see those brown roofs, they're signs of ancient civilisation. As at when those houses with brown roofs were being built, your ancestors were still living in trees and had not yet evolved to be able to talk like humans.

If you want to argue, we have the Benin empire, we have the Ife Kingdom, we have the Oyo empire, we have the Kanem Borno empire.

Mention just one ancient civilisation built by your fathers.

Other people were building legacies and monuments, your fathers were in the village square, fighting for the hands of the village prostitute in marriage.

It's because you have no legacies, landmarks and achievements that till today, not a single soul from your region can trace your history or wherever you were downloaded from.

We should hear from all of them. Don't think I am tribalist here. I don't care if Yoruba is doing bad or Igbo is doing good, because the bad state of the economy is affecting whenever any state or the federal government irrespective of tribe is failing.

Being tribalist would reduce the price of fuel from N250 to N145 or even lesser, so you can take your tribalistic views to someone else
