Hello Nairalanders please I noticed an error on the date to leave UK on my decision letter. It is a 2 years course and 1 year 4 months was recorded as the time to leave UK. How do I get it rectified? I will appreciate your response

Their leaving the market helped Delta a lot. their Houston-Lagos route was always booked.

This one they are starting with Dulles sha. Is their market survey telling them more Nigerians travel to the Northwest nowadays. Doesn't make sense to me.

That market survey they refused to do before leaving initially cheesy , I’m now team Delta o , so we will be considering them again when they’re fully in operation , good thing is they’ll probably begin with an introductory sale price so it’ll attract people

You are very correct.

Please do you know how much it costs for extra luggage with delta airline?

I tried to look at the website, couldn't find any lead.

Please has anyone taken Palm oil to the US in recent times? The Last time I travelled, it was not allowed but I heard we now have Agric section at our airport and one can just declare the food one has and everything will be fine.

It’s $200 (23kg extra bag) payable in their office in Lagos , I called this morning to find out too so we are in sync grin

Thanks a lot for this info.

So one can only pay in their office? One cannot pay at the airport? Payable in naira or dollars?

Do they have option for extra kg too?

Please kindly share their number with me or I can come into your mail

I tried replying your mail it sent me mail delivery failure I don’t know why that has been going on.
Their number is 01 279 9001, they’re quite responsive, you pay in dollars but converted to Naira , the price should be around 83/84k max when converted.
I’m guessing buying at the airport on that day of the flight “may” spike the price, so I’ll say buy ahead and maybe ask for their account details to pay into.
I didn’t ask for extra kg option because I felt it may be too pricey compared with just buying an extra 23kg bag. Cheers!

Good afternoon! Thank you so much for your advice especially @purpleribbon and @Demmy2021
Been trying to complete everything as my return is next week. I’ve gotten my baby’s passport. Called them and gave them my flight itinerary and booking reference. They gave me an appointment but also told me that they may hasten the process and so that I might get the passport before I go for the appointment and that was how it happened so I had to cancel the appointment as they asked me to.

@Demmy2021, did you eventually pay for the cvs test? Saw on their site that it’s $139 and also did you pay for the NCDC test? And still did you repeat the test when you got back to Nigeria?
If you did, how much did you pay? Been checking their site for the price and saw nothing

@Purpleribbon, I heard there’s a punishment for those who don’t repeat the test 7 days after return. Do you know?

I’m so glad everything went as planned for you! Congratulations!!!

Also super happy that there’s a faster track (and that we are all aware of it) for mamas to get their baby’s passports before leaving.

I honestly have no idea about any punishments in Nigeria. Maybe on my next trip out? I’ll let you know…

Safe journey back

Congrats on getting your baby’s passport.

Had your previously applied via post office before calling the passport office to book an appointment to hasten the process?

Also would you require a VOA for the baby on arriving Nigeria?

Hello house,

I have some questions for the mamas who have returned to Nigeria between July to September.

1. Did you travel with your baby’s American passport? If yes, did you have to pay for Visa on arrival? Did you still require an ETC?
2. Did you travel without the passport and was the ETC the only travel document used?

3.What was the experience leaving the US- immigration and all? What was the experience arriving Nigeria- immigration and all?

4. Did you pay for an infant ticket or not (I hear some airlines don’t charge for infants). If you paid for ticket, did the ticket automatically come with a bassinet for the baby or did you have to pay additional money for a bassinet?

5.Are there any payments to made at the airport when you arrive? I just heard from someone who just arrived Nigeria that they asked to pay some money because of their plenty luggage.

Looking forward to reading from you all

Hey mums, is it possible to travel from Lagos to Houston via the UK (BA or Virgin)? Someone told me that flights from the UK to the USA are not allowed until November and I just want to know if this also applies to those just transiting at Heathrow.

I renewed my visa sometime this year, had my baby four years ago but I didn't try to renew my visa until this year. So I didn't have any rejection prior, and also thr purpose of my visa (this year) was not for the purpose of child birth.

Thank you.

Hello Purple Ribbon if you dont mind sharing, please what are the factors tat made your pregnancy high risk? How do you go about it? I had my first child 1n 2014 in AMerica. When i went for visa renewal (not my first since then but others were dropbox) in 2019, I was refused. I paid my bill but they claimed it was too low. Now at 46yrs I am expecting multiples and i have fibroid too. Do you think these qualify for high risk?
purpleribbon:

I had a high risk pregnancy (tough period) and my relatives needed to escort me to the US. That was enough grounds for them to get emergency dates for their visas. I already had my visa so I didn’t need to apply. I’m not sure if the fibroids alone is enough grounds but I guess it would work for you as well.

Hi mama!

The application for birth certificate started from the hospital. You can call the vital records office in Baltimore, book an appointment and collect it if you need it urgently. It costs 10 dollars per copy. Alternatively, you can go the the office at Montgomery (you don’t need an appointment), it costs 25 dollars per copy.
