It's a swampy area below water level...

The double line u see is the thickness of the rail and the 1st line is the change in level also clearly stated with the arrow and stairs up label..

Air flow coming from the living room won't have a channel to pass out, as d lobby after the dining is enclosed. The ventilation in d dining area need to be worked on.

I don't know if it is because of land constraint
The entrance porch should be extended to d last wall, area covered in red in d pic below.
The current one seems too small for the building, it is more like a self con terrace.
