Awo and Ojukwu had no reconciliation issues because ojukwu understood that war isn't a tea party. In fact, see his conclusions on the man called Awo

In political terms, he would be considered an
adversary of the Igbo given the intense rivalry between
him and Dr. Nnamdi Azikiwe. As a leader of the modern
cast, he has left Nigeria standards which are indelible,
standards beside which future aspirations to public
leadership can be eternally measured. He was, for a
long time, the only Nigerian leader that enunciated
principles and played down personalities. He was a
brilliant political administrator and a most erudite
teacher. He not only identified himself wholly with the
aspirations of the Yoruba people of Nigeria but also he
was able to convince the Yoruba people of Nigeria that
he, only he epitomised the highest point of their
political aspirations and consciousness. He was loved,
he was feared but above all he belonged to the people
he professed to lead. At his death I had the singular
honour of proposing for him this epitaph that has
endured — ‘he was the best President that Nigeria
never had.

Nigeria would have been the greatest black country on earth if only Yoruba and Igbo got along well.

There's a bigger scheme by stronger powers to always keep these two apart.

You did not include the afonjas and foolanis that were ambushed at abagana or the afonjas that were killed at head bridge as they attempted to cross the River Niger.

Will d past allow? Even nairaland is benefitting from the tribalism bn exhibited. Seun n his mods r hypocrites considering how they side wit certain religious n tribal sentiments yet state rules dat go against these.

East n West combo would hv bn a powerful combo even the north won't stand a chance but alas, our bn educated has become our greatest setback as we use it to attack each other.

The only way to reconcile with Igbo is to kill yourself for them. Even at that they may still complain you didn't bury yourself.

So the best thing then is to stay apart...which is what the Igbos want all along...
