President Muhammadu Buhari has inaugurated 10 additional locomotives and two coaches in Rigasa Train Station, Kaduna. The President reaffirmed the government’s commitment to link all commercial cities and production centre’s including state capitals through rail in order to fastback the socio-economic development of the nation.

While commissioning the additional locomotives and coaches in Kaduna, he said that the government will vigorously pursue rail development in Nigeria.

I think this railway project is too hyped.

If only PMB can revive the Nigeria Airways, and some pay and get projects of quick gestation period, the thirsts for project commissioning would ease.

Railways are cheaper by far.

GEJ did waste money...but railways was one of his wise decisions. Also good on the APC govt for continuing with the railways.

As for Nigeria Airways....if you want a serious national carrier, manage it as a private concern.

Still saying the same thing, commissioning Locomotives is way too cheap for the status of a GCFR.

Long Term Project is a pride to Political Party that's why you need continuity like obtained in Lagos (advocating for party supremacy biased legislations).
But individuals still need to justify their stay in office, thus the need for portfolio projects like Nigerian Air (whatever the management structure is) but not too cheap like 6 locomotives.
