Some so-called students have no business being within the figurative four walls of a university. They latch on every conceivable, real and unreal cause to hold the entire school to ransom. The interesting thing is that such students are in the minority, while the majority of the law-abiding students lament silently that their school calendar is being frivolously hijacked from them.

Students should open their eyes. In public schools whether you write exams or not, the salaries and promotions of the lecturers remain unaffected. Whether you graduate in record time in multiples of the record time, the lecturers have absolutely nothing to lose. This hooliganism that our educational institutions practises in the name of student unionism is beneath the level of individuals professing to be educated... Students should stop hiding behind the veil of student unionism to insult people who are not their mates. Intellectualism should be the way forward for our students, not hooliganism.
And yes, the university administration reserves the right to proscribe the student union. As strong as OAU student union was it was proscribed and heavens did not fall.

No the University administration cannot arbitrary proscribe student union government. That is the body that fights for the right of every students. The executive can only be impeached through parliamentary action of the student's body.

Only a despot can ban a body fighting against its excesses.
