President Buhari Visits Abia State Today by quickberry(m): 7:40am On Jan 09, 2018
Security has been beefed up in Umuahia the Abia State capital, in preparation for the visit of President Muhammadu Buhari and Vice-President Yemi Osibanjo to the state today (Tuesday).

They will be in the state to attend a mega rally of the All Progressives Congress.

The rally will take place at the Umuahia Towship Stadium on School Road in the capital city.

The National Chairman of the APC, Chief John Odigie-Oyegun, the Chairman of the Progressives Governors Forum, Governor Rochas Okorocha and other party chieftains from the South-East and across the country are expected to grace the occasion.

As of the time of filling this report, all major entry and exit points to Umuahia were manned by heavily armed and stern-looking security operatives in preparation for the President’s visit.


The state Publicity Secretary of the APC, Mr. Benedict Godson, who spoke to our correspondent on Monday, said the arrangements had been completed to host the President.

Hypocrisy is when your child is crying for survival yet you are busy chasing bush rats.....

When Benue citizens are murdered, killed, raped, ravaged, annihilated, butchered, destroyed and sent to early graves yet the president is busy going round the country for political activities.

Why can't you send any of ur ministers to represent you in Abia state while you go to Benue state to commiserate with them.

Do you think the presence of the IGP can change anything....

I am currently in Umuahia and everyone is going about their business as usual.
Maybe they will mobilise some crowd from somewhere else to attend the rally.

They accused GEJ of attending a rally in Kano following attacks by boko haram.


Now Buhari is attending a mega political rally while people are still mourning in Benue, Taraba and Adamawa.

It is unfortunate that PMB only visits the South-Eastern Region for political rallies with no project to show for his time in government. The elders who are receiving him are just psychopants and cannot get him any vote in a free and fair election. How did we get here. 2019 loading. We will not touch this party with a long spoon.
