BACKGROUND
The widespread nature of plagiarism and other unethical practices among researchers in Nigeria, can no longer be over-emphasized.

Many young and talented Nigerians have ignorantly and naively truncated, tarnished and terminated their career early in life before going far in their research endeavours. Without ambiguity, many more will still be victims if the situation is not promptly addressed. This is apparent as a result of ‘publish or perish’ syndrome which pervade the minds of the young and upcoming researchers. Unfortunately, the situation is made worse as a result of improper mentorship of these young researchers and academics by their respective supervisors and research ‘mentors’ during their training epoch. Therefore, this workshop is aimed at exposing young academics to the dangers of plagiarism and other unethical practices, as well as providing way out of these challenges.
OBJECTIVES
The objectives of the workshop are to:
Sensitize and update researchers and academics on the danger of plagiarism, and the need and ways to prevent them.
Train young researchers on innovative research designs.
Increase the competence and ability of researchers in the art of writing quality articles for publications.
Enhance effective networking among young researchers.
