What If The Internet Shuts Down? by joeaz58(m): 8:33am On Jan 13
In EVERY 60 seconds, there are 48hours YouTube user uploads, over 2 million Google searches, over 684,478 Facebook shares, over 100,000 twitter tweets, Apple gets over 47,000 apps download, Facebook brands get 34,722 LIKES, over 3,600 Instagram shares, and the mobile Web receives 217 new users and 510,040 Facebook comments. Every single year the Internet uses 400,000,000,000,000, Tera watts of energy this can run 1.3 trillion laptops, 1.5 trillion color TV's and enough power to run 200billion microwaves. Now with all these happening in JUST every 60 seconds, imagine what our lives will be like without the Internet. Imagine if our satellites should float into earth's atmosphere and gets burnt? Bia, let's count down on the top 7 things that will happen if the Internet shuts down. 7. COMMUNICATION ISSUES: This will be the first palava we would notice. Sweetheart you can forget about your iPhone your new Android phone and your laptop because they will be TOTALLY USELESS without the Internet. No more Facebook, no mails, no text messages, no pings, you can't even call anymore no matter how close. I am saying the world will have to go back to writing letters. Now that poo is scary! 6. NO MORE FOOD. Within a week of the Internet breakdown, it would affect our food supplies, just like when we have natural disasters, the foods at local markets will fly outta the shelves. Many food manufacturers rely on the net for everything from shipping, to monitoring, to ordering supplies, without the net, there will be a halt in food production and our grocery stores (E.g Shoprite) will have NO MORE supplies. 5. NO MORE PORN. Lovers of porn? raise your hands please Well, you guys will have to rely on walking into stores in all form of embarrassments to buy films and magazines as you can longer access your favorite porn site in the convenience of your privacy. Aside this, there will be a high demand and low supplies as the digital printers and modeling companies will just not be able to keep up with the demands. The Internet is gone. You get bleeped up too. 4. MARTIAL LAW. If the Internet went out, it would cause people to panic, people would start looting, burning things down, and have no regard for local authorities, with the Internet down and lack of information, many government would turn to martial law to restore order. Soldiers and tanks would replace local police officers and we citizens will have to obey new rules like curfew. 3. That reminds me, Your ATM card will be USELESS, banks will shut down, online banking will cease too, you will not be able to get any of your cash. The stock market will also freeze and cost the stock exchange Govt trillions of money. Companies that relies on the Internet will sack employees leaving hundreds of thousands of people jobless. 2. TRAFFIC JAM. Traffic lights runs on computers that relies on the Internet for updates, without updates, the lights would stop running, and cause traffic to screech. No more public transportation and electrified trains, planes won't run, everything simply dies down. 1. THE END OF THE WORLD. In a world that replies heavily on the Internet, if it collapsed, it would cause worldwide panic, foods gone, fillings stations would go dry, we will turn on our neighbors to protect ourselves, there will be mass looting and chaos and it will take a miracle to restore order. If the Internet went down, it would be the end of the world as we know it today. Do you think you can service without the Internet? Hell the da No!!! We can't. What other things do you think will happen if the Internet went off? Say it in the commentaries .
