"in 2014, GEJ inaugurated an Inter-ministerial technical committee on grazing reserves, tasked with proposing strategies for ending the herdsmen crisis.

Benue former Governor, Gabriel Suswan (PDP) headed the political committee on Grazing Reserves. The committee recommended recovery of all grazing routes encroached upon by farmers and recommended CBN release N100 billion to the 36 states for ranch construction.

The NEC under GEJ approved this recommendation and CBN actually released the N100 billion.
The Governors took the money but none constructed the ranches.

On January 15, House of Reps set up a committee to investigate reports that the funds have been looted and report within 4 weeks.

The Report is still been awaited till today".
