HTC has launched another new selfie-centered handset; the HTC U11 EYEs; tagged EYEs as a result of the dual front facing cameras it comes with.


HTC may not exactly as popular as the Apples and Samsungs but they are by no means a small fry in the smartphone business. Their selfie-oriented smartphone; the HTC Desire Eye did exactly one thing when it was released in 2014; it caught the eyes of all and sundry. Launching with 13MP Primary and Secondary cameras with dual-tone LED flash, it was a darling.

It followed it up with a favorite among selfie lovers; the HTC 10 with its 12MP back camera, and a front facing 5MP camera in 2016

HTC U11 EYEs Key Specs and Features

Display

Offering an aspect ratio of 18:9 while being protected by Gorilla Glass 3, the 11 EYEs is fitted with Super LCD 3 Display and is spiced up with a resolution of 2160 x 1080 pixels (Full HD+ AND 401 PPI density)

Camera

The U11 EYEs makes use of the same 12MP rear-mounted camera that is available on the HTC U11. The camera spots a f/1.7 aperture, phase detection autofocus, Optical Image Stabilization (OIS), dual-LED dual-tone flash and Back-illuminated sensor (BSI)

The selfie camera on the other hand makes use of a Dual 5MP camera with f/2.2 aperture. It also has Fast HDR, voice activated selfie, beauty mode and the popular Bokeh mode that allows field of depth effect.


Hardware & Software

The U11 EYEs is powered by the low range Snapdragon 652 chipset and 4 GB of RAM and has an internal storage of 64 GB. It also comes with a micro SD card slot in case you need more storage.. A 3,930mAh battery found inside the HTC U11+ flagship phone powers the U11 EYEs.

The U11 also comes with a rear mounted Fingerprint sensor, accelerometer, gyro, proximity and compass, Bluetooth 4.2, Wi-Fi 802.11ac and 4G LTE capabilities. It does not come with the standard 3.5mm audio jack which may be a huge turn off for some users.
The U11 EYEs comes equipped with squeezable Edge Sense pressure-sensitive frame. By squeezing the phone, users can perform different preset tasks. The U11 EYEs runs on Android 8.0 Oreo OS in addition to the HTC
