Deregulation is not too popular because of price increases...so people prefer to pretend the problem lies elsewhere

Ofourse deregulation is the way to go bro but truth and justice need to be done before any forward moving.... hypocrisy in the country is so much that if oil sector is fully deregulated it won't still work cos of our hypocrisy....the best time to have been done was that January 2012 but destroyed cos of politics and for a fact that the president is from a minority...the second best time was when PMB said they have removed it shouting down everyone that tried to let the masses know that what was done was not deregulation but price modulation and subsidy was still there...PMB govt refused to do the right thing so as not to swallow their gej era vomit....there can never be real growth without justice and equity which the country clearly lack at the moment..PMB,tinubu,and other people that campaigned against 2012 need to come clean and apologize so as to allow healing to take place else we will continue to move in circle....you should know by now that everything we criticised gej for is happening in triple fold now and that is nothing but karma,just sad that me and you and others are at the receiving end

Yes, the discrepancy is due to

1. Independent marketers smuggling fuel out of the country because they cannot make a profit in Nigeria...importing fuel at N160 to 171 per liter...and being forced to sell it at N145 per liter.

2.Fake subsidy claims...because of the above reason.

When GEJ attempted deregulation, Nigerians protested....and as a result created the environment for subsidy scams.

We have to deregulate the downstream sector....or the discreoancies will continue.

And home based refineries won't solve the problem....we still have to pay the refiners....

Deregulate.

1.Chad is an oil producing nation....130000 bpd

2.Ghana too is an oil producing nation.....200000 bpd

3.Benin used to produce oil too...and may soon resume.

Petrol is 205 with no queue in my locality.

Subsidizing petrol that is been smuggled to our neighbouring countries through our very porus border. There is God o! Ok kotinu.

It has become a normal price here in Port harcourt. Just walk into any of the filling stations and buy your fuel at #200 per liter. No more queue.

Talk is cheap o jere justice is what we need
