Same Unongo that criticize Awo for putting Igbos in their place?

Pa Awo warned them then, but they failed to listen. Common sense first before politics, they told him to keep quiet.

Nnamdi Azikiwe made the same attempt to enslave Yorubas in SW but failed. Reason why Igbos dislike Yorubas till today.
What did Zik do for his region as premier? Nothing!
Fool was busy looking for premiership in the Western region with his empty skull.
I believe you can make your point without all these hatred.

BTW I'm neither Igbo nor Yoruba. Both tribes have great people. This altitude of constantly antagonising other tribes is petty.

Stupid talk. If you want to cut alignment cut it don't talk. When the herdsmen attacked they did not make noise about. This is why the core north will never respect middle belters, they talk too much.

Let their fake leaders be deceiving them; we 're waiting for them nau!...they will be the new minority under the new arrangement in southern nigeria! South East will be too happy to relinquish the post to them. S/W (6 states), S/S (6 states), S/E (5 states) and Benue.

The North still remains the best option for the state. South East is not a good alternative while the distance to southwest is massive. So we all remain one...in blood and spirit..The North...One People One Destiny!!!

NOPE. There is really nothing like the North central, is there a South central? Benue is actually Middle-belt, along with Plateau and Kogi who also kid themselves of being North central. It's high time they carve their own identity. The north central thing is one-sided obviously.

How you manage to bring Igbo and Zik(not that I'm his fan) to this Benue issue is what baffles me. Can you point out one thing Igbos did to you?
Why are you losing sleep over their matter and obviously so bitter and pained?

The best option is to have a strong Middle Belt Forum which is dreaded by the North.
The swing votes in Nigeria comes from the Middle belt

Guyman02:
Benue shares a lot of similarities with the South, they share a border with Igbos in Enugu. But the allowed Sardauna to declare them as 'Arewa' and in Fulani peoples assessment they are a conquered territory. They were deceived into attacking Igbos fleeing from the far north during the pogrom instead of providing cover and protection.

Their leaders were overtly anti Yoruba for years, they never supported the agitations in the South South for resource control.

Its never too late, they are welcome. I love the solidarity shown to Benue by Afenifere, Ohaneze, South South leaders and the fact that Northern leaders exposed their true self through the Gov of Borno State and El rufai who led a delegation to visit the Benue and condemned the people mourning their dead instead of commiserating with them.

Benue is Middle Belt and they should reject the nomenclature 'North central or Arewa' and the Middel Belt hold the power to decide who rules Nigeria which they seem not to have come to terms with.
Well said.
I completely agree with you.

Exactly the reason y all these killing is going on.... Nigerians don't bother to look critically into issues because most people have been brainwashed with religious and ethnic medium. But the truth remains that the herdsmen killing is a politically sponsored.

So much hate embodied in your post.

Zik tried to enslave Yorubas? I'll take it you are not Yoruba to start with and have little knowledge of history regarding what transpired.

Awo would later seek alliance with the East following his split with Akintola (who favored the North) which got him imprisoned and charged for treason on trumped charges.

Reason why Igbos dislike Yoruba is due to the failure of Awolowo to follow through with his dream of an independent yoruba nation following a gentleman agreement after securing his release (funny enough his incarceration and treatment was also among the reasons for the first coup)

What did Zik do for his region as premier? Look around the SE and SS states. The foundation bequeated to them is unrivalled.

Stop with the hate, that Nigeria attained the heights it did in the old was cos of the strong West/East alliance and strong healthy competition.

Apart from blood shed & Violence what else does the North offer?

In fact if the North Wakes up and says you are leaving, we will rejoice.
