Nigerians don't believe in Nigeria hence they don't show interest in the affair of the nation. Continuous voters registration is said to be on going but in reality nothing is happening.

I went to three centers at Alimosho area with someone for voters card registration and to my surprise registration had not taken place in those places since the inception of this exercise. To make matter worst, Okunola Local government council is not even aware that there is such an exercise going on.

The only center for Alimosho area is at Abati Primary School at shasha. The people in Alimosho have been short changed by this scam.

The worrisome part of this is that INEC was said to have created more center as against the existing once. In the original center created, Alimosho had twelve centers.

The question is how much was budgeted for those who were to be employed for this exercise?

How much was budgeted for the equipment to be used by those workers?

How many workers were assigned to each centers?

The only center working for Alimosho (Abati Primary School) has only two staff. A woman who fills in the printed data into an INEC booklet and a man who captures the data with a laptop.

Now, this is only for a single area in Lagos. If we go by this data, that means every area in Lagos has only one working center. For the center nation, you can tell what an abysmal exercise this has been.

Time wastage.

Everyday, the two workers at Abati Primary School at Shasha find it hard attending to all the people that come for registration. People leave their jobs to wait for hours on end to register their name.

What kind of nation make progress when her work force spend nearly a whole day to register for a voter's card? We don't have value for time in this nation. It's disheartening and unacceptable.

The financial waste.

Federal government budgeted N9bn for this exercise (http://www.thetidenewsonline.com/2018/01/26/2019-inec-proposes-n9bn-for-hazard-allowance-to-suspend-voter-registration-60-days-to-election/). The question is, where is the money going to with all the centers closed down nationwide?

People are less concern with the implementation of the nations budget year in year out. A few people pocket the national budget and do a very bad job with no one questioning them.

I went to Ebenezar Primary School at Egbeda and was told that nothing like voters card registration has taken place in that place since this year. This same is apply to Alimosho Grammar school and Millennium Secondary School. So where is the money for this exercise going to?

The people in charge of this exercise should be investigated and questioned. They should be made to account for the money budgeted for this programm.

Just imagine that the lady at Abati Primary School had all the entry booklet for all the centers in Alimosho. When she look at your data she enter your name in the booklet for your area.

That is fraud.

Whoever is in charge will present it as coming from different centers while in the real sense it all came from one center. The people in charge of this exercise should be arrested forthwith for fraud.

Accountability system.

The reason people get away with shabby jobs in the nation is because there is no accountability. No system to account for work progress. We are after result and not work progress that is the reason people can cook up result for jobs.

For this exercise, INEC should have an accountability booklet for the principal and gate-man of the school where voter card registration is going on. The Youth leader in that Area should also be involved with an accountability booklet which the workers signs everyday they come to work at the center.

INEC should also have an online portal where people can give update of the work progress of each center.

INEC has done well but the people at the lower cadre of the rug are the individual perpetrating this fraud because they believe INEC doesn't have an accountability system to measure their job progress. It's left for INEC to prove them wrong or agree with them.

Success is not an accident. If Nigeria must start working, we must have an accountability system.

Ex president Goodluck did a better job for voters card registration than this administration whose job is to continue what has been almost done.
