is there any spirituality associated with first rain of the year? several cultures has different meaning and interpretation of first rain of the year. some even celebrate while some stays indoors.

some part in Benin city just experienced the first rain of the year today. and i saw a woman which said that its a bad omen for first rain of the year to wet her, and she said she wouldn't have leave the house for market if she had known.

she even went as far as going home to change her dress.

what do you guys think of this.

I also see it as bad cuz its usually dirtier so it stains more easily, wouldn't like getting drenched by dirty water

superstitious beliefs.
