But #4 is the most important. We should go back to regions or provinces that will be semi-independent, like Swiss Cantons. SIX in total. That is fundamental. For example, NW province may decide to create grazing reserves and make Friday a work-free day, while the SS province may decide to ban open grazing in all forms and stick to the Saturday/Sunday weekend structure.

If we get the structure wrong, we would only complicate the situation.

More importantly, we should have sociologists, social scientists, public planners, economists; basically people who know what they're doing be in charge of working out a sound structure that is inherently Nigerian. I do not want these sniveling, crooked politicians; their uneducated minions; and loud-mouthed, empty-headed social commenters (which comprise most of the people on NL Politics Section and in the real world who have no clue and can't even research even if their lives depended on it).

We should not model ours after another country. We can pick workable parts of the structure of other countries. But the structure we develop MUST be indigenous to represent the unique situation in Nigeria and take into account our diversity, demography, religious dichotomy, population explosion among other things.

I want you to publish the detail of the CONFAB for all to see. Restructuring has always been part of agitation at every CONFAB and fora but no single person has given vivid details of how it should be. I've watched so many programmes on TVs and read from prints where questions were raised from interviewers on what type of restructure agitated for and all we hear is shedding more power to the state but no one has given detail as this. Jonathan has to even commended the El-Rufai report and said it was a good model.
Well, I don't blame you for reading meaning to what APC wishing and planning to do but you also need to put in mind that restructuring is part of their manifesto and people like you have been saying they've jettisoned the restructuring they promised in their manifesto.
Does it matter when they do it? The bottom line is that let it be done to solve some of the mirage of national problems. We always say, it is better late than not. So far it does not affect the smooth running of the constitution or try to tamper with it or give undue advantage of term elongation or directly or indirectly affect opposition members.
