Talking about security, you will have to count China as one of the country striving hard to make sure its citizens and their properties are safe. The Chinese government has taken its internal security level to a new standard as the nation’s security agency recently armed it’s operatives with a latest set of smart Glasses with facial recognition technology to aid them identify citizens.

In the past, China makes use of CCTV cameras positioned in different part of the country to identify its citizens and track their movements, but now, with this newly introduced smart glasses, its security operatives will be able to scan people’s faces for criminals, crime witnesses and missing persons in crowded areas or places where CCTV cameras are not available.

The glasses which are made by a Beijing-based company – LLVision Technology Co. – is already facing critics from organizations like Amnesty International for reasons being that the new development will further increase the already existing hostile surveillance in the country.
