In our IMSU days, Afunwa Ezejiaku would always resolve at the beginning of every lenten season to avoid eating meat as long as lent lasts. Fast forward 25 days later I met up with him at a buka around business college eating on a Tuesday morning. What are my eyes seeing? Is he for real? I tapped him on the shoulder:, "aboy! no be meat you dey chop? Your own lent don finish?" His mouth was full. It made his voice deepen while he replied:"No be meat. Na Kanda. " Memories!
