Azaka Lauds Okowa For Approving Utagba-uno/ndemili Road For Contrution by HenryUbus12345(m): 10:11pm On Feb 14, 2018
The Member representing Ndokwa West Constituency in the Delta State House of Assembly, Hon. Azuka Azaka has described the approval for the construction of Utagba-Uno/Ndemili and Adofi/Etua roads as evidence of Governor Ifeanyi Okowa's determination to open up rural communities in Delta State.

Hon. Azaka made the disclosure in Asaba while reacting to the approval of the roads for construction having made a case on behalf of his constituents for the roads to be fixed.

While disclosing that it took him little efforts to convince the Governor to construct the roads due to the working synergy he enjoys with the Governor geared towards the development of his constituency, the state lawmaker said, "Governor Okowa is aware of the state of these roads, he is a grassroots man who knows the nooks and crannies of Delta State, so, it took little efforts to attract his attention on the need for the roads to be constructed."

"We thank the Governor for his efforts towards the development of Delta State, he has done a lot in the area of delivery of infrastructures and really provided good governance for our people through people- oriented programmes like the job and wealth creation programmes," Hon. Azaka said, reiterating, "once these roads are constructed, our people who are mainly farmers will be able to convey their farm produce to the cities on time which will also yield increment in economic activities.

He continued, "we hope that in the nearest future, the road will get to Onicha-Ukwuani and the Ugiliamai/Ossissa road will be tarred to boost the socio-economic activities of our people."

"I can tell you that when these roads are constructed, all the communities in my constituency will be accessed through these roads and we know that the importance of good roads cannot be quantified as it boost economic activities, encourage people to move around and of course, our job is to ensure good representation of our people and attract developmental projects to where they are mostly needed, and we are happy doing the job of representing the electorates," Hon. Azaka stated.
