Carpet Services
When we clean your carpet using equipment that has the highest rating (Gold) by the
Carpet and Rug Institute (CRI)
combined with 230 degree soft
and electronic ionized water,
your carpet will be sanitized
and restored as close as
possible to the manufacturer’s
specifications. The color and
pile will restore in the traffic
areas, and the carpet will feel
soft–like when it was new.

Tile Services
The same system used for
carpet cleaning is also used in
the cleaning process for
natural stone, tile and grout
cleaning. Special tools are used
on the floors, counter tops and
walls, along with special
cleaning agents and sealers to
give your stone, tile and grout
that new look again. Most grout
colors can be restored back to
the original color if previously
sealed. A pre-inspection of
your tile or slab and grout
prior to your cleaning
appointment may be
necessary.
Upholstery Services
We have 5 years of
experience cleaning all types
of upholstered furniture, from
silk to leather. General cleans
every fabric. Many of our
competitors refer us to their
customers to clean the difficult
upholstery to do those difficult
jobs they themselves cannot
do.
Area Rugs Services
Many area rugs can be cleaned
in your home. Some of the
rugs with heavily soiled fringe
may need to be cleaned offsite
to restore the natural color of
the fringe. In those cases,
some of your area rugs may
not be cleaned in your home
and need the special attention
that can only be given in our
cleaning plant.

ODOR CONTROL IS A
DIFFICULT BUT ESSENTIAL
PART OF CLEANING! General’s
35 years of expertise in hard
and soft surface cleaning
extends to odor control of the
indoor environment and hard
and soft surfaces.
Odor Control from Pets:
Pet odor control in carpet and
carpet cushion (pad) can be a
very inclusive and time
consuming process. Often,
your pet will mark the same
area several times, and the
urine will soak through the
carpet and cushion to the wood
or concrete floor. If this
occurs, the carpet, cushion and
floor must be treated for
100% urine odor removal. If
carpet is treated for pet odor
from the surface, only 50% (or
less) of the odor may be
controlled. If the floor under
the carpet is concrete, we have
a process of controlling the
odor by 80-100%. The success
rate depends on how long
urine has been there.
We successfully mediate a wide
variety of odors:
Mold and Mildew (May require a
licensed specialist)
Urine, feces, vomit, skunk, pet bed,
upholstery and mattress odors.
General mal-odor of carpet, pet runs,
garage and crawl spaces.
Putrefaction (decomposing flesh and
organic matter); Putrefaction is the
decomposition of animal proteins,
and results in the formation of
amines which have a putrid odor.
Noxious Sulfide / Mercaptain odors
are also produced in this
environment.
