Example "Application for the position of HSE Coordinator" HSE Coordinator Location: Lagos & Port Harcourt Job Type: Full time Roles & Responsibilities - Supports Management in HSE Policy and Guidelines issue. - Supports Management in Organization roles and responsibilities definition, for what concerns safety aspects. - Supports Management in the HSE Management System standard issue. - Ensures, in accordance with the Corporate guidelines, the implementation, updating, review and auditing of the Company HSE Systems. - Monitors the effective implementation of appropriate Safety and Environment System procedures and provide for their updating in line with changes in Legislation and Company Directives. - Provides for motivation and familiarization of all Company personnel respecting the importance of complying with Company system procedures and all Safety equipment provided. - Assists the Commercial, Engineering and Operations Department in their dealings with Clients in all issues concerned with Health and Safety at work. - Conducts safety audits both internal and external. - Takes part in accident / incident investigation. - Carries out analysis of accident / incident statistics, identifying trends and suggesting improvement plans. - Provides technical support to Management on any safety related subjects. - Carries out any in-house safety training. - Carries out safety audits on AB OFFSHORE Vessels, offices and Sub-contractors. - Liaises between Clients on safety related issues. - Safeties related input into new vessels and modification programs. - Coordinates HAZOP meetings prior to procurement, maintenance and installation activities. - Performs Risk Assessment. - Preparation of Health and Safety documentation for new bids/tenders. - Provides Safety support and advice, including supervision on preparation of plans and procedures for initial contract start up activities. - Prepare reports on occurrences and provide statistical information to management REQUIREMENTS - Bachelor Degree in Science/Engineering or equivalent with additional professional qualifications in HSE and Fire & Safety Management Systems. - Minimum of 6 (Six) years working experience in Health, Safety and Environment, of which 2 years should be in a supervisory capacity and 1 (one) year in Maritime/shipping operations. - Working knowledge in Health, Safety and Environment Management Systems, Environmental Discharges, Incident Command System, Incident Investigation, HSE Auditing Techniques, HEMP, Radiological Safety - Quality Assurance Certification/experience will be an added advantage Behavioral Competencies: - Strong inter-personal and communication skills Salary and Remuneration - Very attractive. Send CV to: careers@aboffshore.ng Head of Legal & Compliance Location: Lagos Job Type: Full time Roles & Responsibilities - Drafting, vetting and preparation of routine contracts pertaining to Maritime, BIMCO, GENCO non-disclosure agreements, etc., vetting tender documents, handling arbitration matters and civil suits before various courts of law should any arise and co-ordination with law consultants. - Drafting, vetting and preparation of MOAs, MOUs, Bank guarantee, Indemnity Bonds if any, Undertakings and authority letters, vendor contracts, legal contracts, briefs, deeds, leases, JVAs, and other legal papers. - Review of Agreements and provision of legal advice and opinions to Management. - Prepare and draft all legal documents and agreements relating to AB OFFSHORE operations (e.g. supplier contract, insurance contracts, employee contracts, service level agreements) for the Managing Director for review. - Provide company secretarial services – attendance of board meetings, keeping of minutes, board resolutions and filings with Corporate Affairs Commission. - Maintenance of relationship with external solicitors and management of the company’s litigation portfolio. - Attendance of court proceedings and liaison with law enforcement agencies. - Provide useful inputs in the formulation of agreements and contracts. - Drafting and Vetting of all legal documents and co-ordination with lawyers to ensure documents are legally sound. - Management of all Consultant Contracts and liaise with Government Offices and Consultant Lawyers. Essential Requirements: - A lawyer with professional legal qualifications and practical Maritime and commercial legal experience of not less than 5 (Five) years. - Ability to formulate, advise on and implement legal strategy within a maritime and Upstream servicing context. - Working knowledge of Maritime law, commercial law, company law/company secretarial management and employment law. - Good commercial judgment; ability to work under pressure and with minimum supervision; - Ability to manage and direct external lawyers and consultants. - Ability to organize, prepare and deliver PowerPoint presentations - Effective negotiation skills - Must be proficient in the use of IT Software - Good knowledge of Oil & Gas Laws will be an added advantage Technical Competencies: - Corporate Administration – (Policy development, formulation and implementation) - Stakeholder management – (Negotiation and Conflict resolution) - Good knowledge of Marine/shipping regulatory requirements - Ability to analyze data, prepare reports, presentations and legal opinions - Knowledge in corporate law, legal drafting, litigation, arbitration proceedings and special skill in vetting contract and international agreements - Good knowledge of Oil & Gas Laws will be an added advantage - Must be proficient in the use of IT Software Behavioral Competencies: - Strong inter-personal and communication skills Salary and Remuneration - Very attractive.
