Lawyers do faint nowadays. They forced him with a gun on his head to buy the car at 1.6m and used ak48 to force him to sell at 650k after two weeks. If the car faults were not documented and he stiĺl bought the car, it is a gamble that he took and as I learnt, bkind men don't gamble.

Paid? By whom? Judge not bros and read well without sentiments. It is a naija used car and it was taken out from the yard without overheating. Imagine what kazeems rewires do by permanently making the fan to work. Most times they attach the wire to the battery and in changing the battery, the op forgot to put back the wire. You know what will happen. If the issue arose as they were driving home from the cars45 depot, I will join in the shout but after 6 days, haba. Let the Op tell us if the car was overheating when it was presented for uber? He joined nairaland on the 18 of february 2018 just to tell us how he bought a naija used Toyota corolla rightie that overheated after 6 days and then issues began. Who did he take the car to when the issues came up? Timi or gazzuzz or deportivo or kingreign in Abuja or even Mayor2013? A roadside rewire that complicated issues. I wish cars45 will notice me and send me that range rover sport that i once saw there. It will make sense.

You are trying too hard to be mean and I can see right through you.
The car did not over heat while takin it home from thier yard because the ac was not used, the ac was not used because the fuel was low the car was jump started.
The driver took the car on sunday because we have to get the papers done, changed the 4 tyres and do some small work on the car like light. The heating started immediately the car was put to use and the acceleration does not pick well too
And like I said it is not our 1st 2nd or 3rd car. Dh is not a novice in car purchase. Cars45 is a big company and it is a well packaged lie, it will do people who workerd for thei money good to avoid them, not hustlers like you

This matter is a let down to our mechanics that nigerian used cars are scraps. It shows clearly that their efforts are not being felt in the general wellbeing of vehicles in the country. An over used car from switzerland will be in good condition than a brand new car used for 2 years in Nigeria. That said, the car overheated on the second day of uber business and not immediately after it was driven out of the yard? What if in the course of buying and fitting new battery, they mistakenly disconnected the fan? What if with the euphoria of getting a new car, they never bothered to check the water level? I have been at their Agindigbi office looking for a venza and I saw a Range Rover sport for 2.5m and I ran past the car and the venza report was so extensive that the clients dedeclin to buy the car. They sell as is and if you guys call those as is craps, then it is a shame on the gurus in the house that the results of their expertise is being questioned. I also went to Cotonou to buy a Range Rover Sport and you can start the car and drive a little around the park but you can never test the gear if it selects above 3 and we paid and taking it out we discovered that the gear was defective. The seller was indifferent and the buyer was shouting himself sick, threatening fire and brimestone and I was not an expert in Range matter , so I managed the car to the border and called for a gear specialist. Gazzuzz himself runs an inspection service and the Op that wants to buy a car did not take advantage of the service to protect her investment. Cars45 are a new idea and they are on the right path. How many used car dealers present a car history details to a client before selling the car.? Even to buy a car at berger, people go with their mechanics and when it comes to used cars with experienced kazeems laying their hands on such cars, you go there and buy without taking a mechanic along. Clap for yourselves
The report given to the buyer is different from the report given to the seller. This is all part of the deception

Let me come in here. Ac does not make a car to overheat. Did you go with your mechanic as they alway advice or you went there with DH who runs a workshop? And all through the period the car was with you, did you check the water level and the fans? Did the driver on Uber complain of overheating on sunday or monday? Because on these days, he used the ac and there was fuel and there was a new battery. My gurus in the house, how long will it take for a car to overheat when the ac is put on?

All this overheating talk is secondary. The very moment they sold and advertised a 2008 car as 2011, they had committed fraud. every other thing after that is secondary. Thats why i always run a VIN check to at least get an idea about the year of the car and history such as the mileage before it was shipped to nigeria before any other thing. the way people upgrade cars is funny and the buyer was naive. If it was me i will spend more money to tarnish their image for selling a 2008 car as 2011 but really a simple VIN check will have solved this problem

Hmm that is true but I think the Op will not get anything from a vin check because a right hand car will not be on any database in anywhere in the world. And the reason they returned the car was not because of the year difference but because of the overheating that led to other issues. The Op has learnt her lesson and should move on. I was once contracted to inspect a range rover sport in Berger last year. The traffic there was horrible and so I did not go with my scanner. We saw the car and it was a european spec and they fixed the swiss sticker at the back and there was no antipollution sticker or highway sticker. The whole set up was more confusing when the mileage was reading 84000km. Too good to be true and it was sold for 7m. The car was brought to the workshop and we discovered that the mileage was actually 284000kms and the car was a german spec not swiss. I was apologising to the buyer for my mistake.

Overheating is not the only thing wrong with the car acceleration is another and a lot more. And most of the issues with the car would have being noticed if we were allowed to test drive.
This tread is to alert unsuspecting Nigerians interested in doing business with cars45. Because in this country deception is legal and especially when done by a big company

You are here defending a company that presented false information with intent to defraud by saying their merchandise didn't show any signs of fault within their premises. That's a typical way paid staff defend fraudulent employer scam companies.
helpishere:

Paid? By whom?

Yes. Cars45.
Judge not bros and read well without sentiments. It is a naija used car and it was taken out from the yard without overheating.
It has to reach the threshold before overheating, for how long was it driven at a stretch within the first 5 days?
Imagine what kazeems rewires do by permanently making the fan to work. Most times they attach the wire to the battery and in changing the battery, the op forgot to put back the wire. You know what will happen.
You show more ignorance about car matters with each post.
Fan would never go off if directly attached to battery.

If the issue arose as they were driving home from the cars45 depot, I will join in the shout but after 6 days, haba. Let the Op tell us if the car was overheating when it was presented for uber?

If car is not driven over long stretch or under extreme conditions it won't overheat.

He joined nairaland on the 18 of february 2018 just to tell us how he bought a naija used Toyota corolla rightie that overheated after 6 days and then issues began.
OP created this account when she deemed fit and none of her claims has been found to be a lie till this moment.

Who did he take the car to when the issues came up? Timi or gazzuzz or deportivo or kingreign in Abuja or even Mayor2013? A roadside rewire that complicated issues. I wish cars45 will notice me and send me that range rover sport that i once saw there. It will make sense.
Atleast you have agreed the car was bought with issues, only that it didn't manifest until after serious use.
I pray you get the RR and all cars45 has to offer with it.

A lawyer is what you need.

After we agreed on a price 1.6
We asked to test drive the car, but they were several cars blocking it. We dont test drive she said. So we checked the car started and checked again. Everything seem fine. The next day was a sunday. The agent advised us to deposit to at least secure the car, so that it will not be sold when we come after the holiday (newyear). We deposited 6h and went home feeling fly
We arrived after the holiday completed payment and collected the papers. The battery was dead the car was jump started and we drove home
And then the nightmare started

The car now home we proceed to make it ready for business. All four tyres were changed, we got a new battery, the broken light was changed , documents was done. And then got an uber driver to take it up for rental. He was happy he liked the car
I'm sorry I have not been online for quite sometime now. I've gone through your post and I must say I understand your disappointment about the car u bought. This post of yours is lame and more damaging to your person/company.
Cos in essence, what you are trying to pass on is that you and your company provide the opportunity and environment for fraudulent car salespeople/agents to 'sit their job'.
If you escape d accomplice tag,you can hardly escape d accessory after fact part.

I suggest you get a good lawyer and sue them in collaboration with the second buyer.

The matter is being resolved hopefully and una try for the matter if not i nor go for read am. Lets all work towards making naija used cars to be reliable. I was told that Toyota recommends 20w50 api sl oil for new toyotas. We can see where the problem lies. And these same Toyotas are to use premium unleaded fuel in Nigeria. Oil and fuel wahala in a toyota is trouble. Sludge and carbon everywhere....

Red Herring.

Until OP posts that she’s satisfied or the thread is “disappear’d” like they usually are, then I call on all good citizens to keep posting on point about this fraud.

This is not about engine oil nonsense. It’s about a clear and present fraud.

What we should work on, after this issue has been resolved, is to hold car dealers feet to an honesty flame.
