President Mohammadu Buhari will be in Niger state on the 13th of march to Commission N50billion Sunti Sugar Company, a subsidiary of Nigeria Flour Mills Plc.

The Sunti Sugar Company in Mokwa town of Niger state, which has been comatose for over two decades (20yrs) received a bailout fund from the federal government in April 2016.

This project marks the success story of President Muhammadu Buhari’s focus and his aggressiveness towards ensuring that we diversify our country from oil economy into a non-oil driven economy.

A project like this is an indication that Nigeria is working.

With cadastral area of 15,100 hectares and cane production area 5,000 ha is now the largest Agro Allied Investment in Nigeria.

The Sunti Golden Sugar Estate which is expected to generate 25,000 jobs, while the industry will create over 15,000 direct jobs, including 3,500 direct jobs and 3,000 small-scale out-growers in addition to 10 megawatts of electricity generation.

I am delighted at least the economy is deviating from oil to agriculture, more jobs are now going to be created and revenue can also be generated. Looters are loosing of course.
