The 2018 JAMB shall commence on Friday, 9th of March 2018 at the different CBT centers nationwide. This is the second time JAMB shall be holding her examination at these different designated CBT centers.

However, during examination periods of this type, this is an avenue for commercial transporters and motorists to extort candidates. It is an avenue for them to charge them exorbitantly, capitalizing on their innocence and ignorance of the exact center of their examination, and their desperation and anxiety to locate their exam centers as early as possible.

In some cases, it may be that it is a new town, which the candidate has never visited in his lifetime. In this case, do not panic because the solution is now at your fingertips.

For this reason, we have gathered all necessary information regarding the various CBT centers in Osun State; how to locate them and the amount it cost to get to those centers. Candidates shall find this useful when followed as presented.

CBT CENTERS; THEIR LOCATIONS, AND THE COST OF LOCATING THEM.

Ede CBT centers.

Ede has three CBT centers. They are Adeleke University CBT centre; Federal Polytechnic South Campus; and Redeemer’s University CBT centres.
Adeleke University.

The CBT centre is situated along old Ede-Osogbo road, via the water corporation route. It is the previous temporary site of the Adeleke University that has been transformed into a secondary school now.

To locate the place, candidates coming from Osogbo should board a vehicle going to Ede, at OkeFia-Ede garage. Such candidate shall drop right in front of the centre, slightly before water corporation.

Those coming from Ife axis should drop at Akoda junction, along Gbongan-Osogbo road. From there, they should board another vehicle heading to Ede and drop at the last bus stop at Oke gada. This usually cost one hundred naira. From Oke Gada junction, candidate should take a bike to Adeleke University temporary site along Osogbo road. The fee should also not exceed one hundred naira.

Federal Polytechnic Ede.

Candidates coming from Osogbo should stop at the last bus stop. From there, they should take a bike heading towards the Federal Poly. It shouldn’t cost beyond one hundred and fifty naira.

For those coming from Ife route, they should stop at the Akoda junction. From there, they should board a car heading towards Ede and stop at Oja-Oba junction. From Oja-Oba junction, a bike would take them to the Poly at a cost not exceeding one hundred naira.

Redeemer’s University.

The closest route to the Redeemer’s University is the Akoda junction. From there, candidate only need to trek about five minutes to get to the CBT center.

For those coming from Osogbo, from the last bus stop, they should board a Korope to Redeem. This should cost about seventy naira or thereabout.

Osogbo centers.

There are just two centers in Osogbo. They are the Kunike and Aitech Atman limited.

To locate Kunike,it is very easy for those coming from Ilesha. They should drop at Garaji-Ilesha. At that place, there is a junction that heads towards Kunike to the left. There, they should call upon a bike man and tell him Kunike is their destination. This should not cost beyond one hundred and fifty naira.

For those coming from Ikirun, Ifon, Ilobu, they should board a car heading to Garaji-Ilesha, from old garage, for just fifty naira, and follow the prescription earlier mentioned to Kunike. This time around, Kunike junction is to their right.

For those coming from Ife, from Olaiya junction, their vehicle’s last bus stop, they should board a vehicle heading towards Garaji-Ilesha For just fifty naira, and follow the early prescription as well.

As for Aitech Atman centre, candidates coming from Erin, Ifon, Ilobu axis should stop at Agunbelewo service area, where the centre is located at the right side of the road.

Those coming from Ife, Ede and Ikirun, they should board a vehicle at old-garage, heading to Agunbelewo at a cost of fifty naira. However, they should keep on observing their left side of the road, once they get to service area, because the centre is located at the left side of the road.

For Ilesha candidates, once they drop at Oja Oba, their last bus stop, they should board another vehicle heading to old garage. However, they may be lucky that old-garage may be their last bus stop. Whatever the case, from old garage, they should board a vehicle heading towards Agunbelewo and act as instructed in the former prescription.

Ilesha centers.

Ilesha has the highest number of centers with five centers.
There are three centers at the Osun state college of education alone. To get to these centres, candidates from Osogbo, Ikirun, Ifon, Ilobu should board a bus heading towards Ilesha at any garage where Ilesha bus is available. They should stop at the famous round-about in Ilesha. From there, they should take a bike, at the cost of fifty naira, heading to the college of education.

However, candidates from Ife, Ede and those moving along the Ibadan-Akure axis need not worry at all. They shall stop at the front of the college of education, on their entrance to Ilesha, before approaching the last bus stop.

There is another center in Ilesha, the Unique Paula Infotech, Obeta junction, Adjacent Mega Redeemed Church, along Osun state college of education road, Ilesha. To get to this center is very simple. For those coming from Osogbo, Ikirun, Ifon, Ilobu, it is just a few meters away from the round about where their bus from Osogbo shall stop.

As for those from Ife, Ede and so on, they shall stop along the way, as they as coming from Ibadan-Akure road, because it is not far from the college of education as well. Therefore, the prescription for the college of education applies to them as well.

Erin Osun center.

The only JAMB CBT center in Erin Osun is the Elerinmosa Resource Hub, Oke Awesin area, Erin Osun. For those residing at Ifon and Ilobu, they can take a bike to the center at a cost of one hundred naira only.

For those coming from Ilesha, Ife, Ede, Ikirun, Iwo, and other places, they must come down to Osogbo firstly. From Osogbo, they shall board a vehicle to Ilobu, however, they shall stop at the T-junction shortly after the Ilobu bridge, just before they approach Ilobu entrance. At that junction, they shall turn and keep to their left and board a bike to the center at no more than one hundred naira.

Iwo center.

Iwo has just one CBT center, the Bowen University computer science and information lab, Iwo. For those whose center is scheduled for the center, they must travel down to Osogbo firstly. From Osogbo, they shall board a bus heading to Iwo, from Oke Fia or any garage where Iwo bus is available. They shall hop down at testing ground area in Iwo, their last bus stop. From there, they shall take a fifty naira bike to the center.

Ikire center

Osun state university in Ikire is the destination for the JAMB CBT center. From any destination, candidates should stop at the Ikire fly over bridge, along Ibadan road. From there, they should take a fifty naira bike to the center.

Ipetumodu center.

The only JAMB CBT centre in Ipetumodu is at Oduduwa University, along Ife-Ibadan expressway roundabout. For those having their exam there from Osogbo, Ifon, Ibobu and their likes, they should Board a bus heading to Ife, but must alight at Moro, the site of OAU distance learning programme. From the T-junction, they should board a bike to the center at not more than one hundred and fifty naira.

As for those from Ikirun and its environs, they should get to Ilesha firstly. From Ilesha, and for candidates from Ilesha, they should board a bus heading to Ibadan or Ikire. However, they should alight at the popular Ife junction and the center is right along the road to their left.

For those coming from Iwo and its environ, they should travel down to Ikire from Iwo. From Ikire, they should board a bus heading to Ife or Ilesha. Along the way, they shall hop at the Ife junction and the center is situated there.

Esa Oke center

Osun state college of technology, Esa Oke e-library is the venue for the JAMB CBT center in the town. For candidates from any town, there is no need to worry. The bus that takes any candidate from any town shall pass in front of the college. Therefore, there is no need for worry, as candidate shall stop right in front of the college, even before getting to the last bus stop.

Igbajo CBT center

Igbajo Polytechnic CBT center shall host candidates for the CBT exam. For candidates from Osogbo, Ede, Iwo, Ifon, Ilobu, Inisha, Okuku, Erin and its environs, they must travel down to Ikirun where they shall board a car to Igbajo.

Their vehicle shall stop at Oju Oja, their last bus stop. From there, they shall hire a bike man to convey them to the center at no cost of seventy or eighty naira.
For those from Ife, Ilesha, Ikire and other towns on the same axis, they can reach the town en route Ibokun. They should follow the prescription earlier mentioned as well.

Ikeji Arakeji center

Ikeji Arakeji is located at the extreme end of Osun state. The JAMB CBT center is located at Joseph Ayo Babalola University in the town. For candidates from any corner in the state, they must get to a town close to the Ibadan-Akure expressway; be it Ikire, Ilesha, Ife, or Gbongan.
From any of these towns, they should board any bus heading to Akure and hop along the line at Ikeji Arakeji. The institution is situated along the road.

Note that Ikire is the furthest location to the town, along this expressway. Therefore, the amount charged must not exceed five hundred naira, and other towns that are closer to the location would be lesser than that.

Ife centers

Ile-Ife has about four CBT centers. Three of them are situated inside the OAU campus. To locate OAU campus is very easy. It is situated along the route to the entrance of Ile Ife. From the main entrance to the campus, shuttle buses are available to convey people to the main campus at the cost of twenty naira only. Candidates should stop at the academic area and locate their centers.
