As we can see, Regionalism is the only way forward for the growth of our dear nation just like these others(UAE). Restructuring the country into Regions should be the mandate or manifestos of every candidate or political party for 2019.

Lets face facts, with the level of competition then between Late Chief Obafemi Awolowo and Dr Michael Okpara in the sixties the South West and Eastern regions would have advanced and achieved this status of UAE without the backward thinking Fulani leaders that has held every region down with quota system, federal character, educationally disadvantaged states, feeding bottle federalism, herdsmen killings, rioting over sharia, Boko Haram etc
Typical you simply have to blame the north for all your problems.
Need I remind you it was same southerner that abolished the regional government. A government system proposed and strongly defended by the north. Now southerners get into the leadership position by killing all our leaders safe their own, and then come and blame the north as things went south.

Nigeria is too big, too diverse and too heterogeneous for clannish Africans to manage well.

Diversity is good but too much diversity isn't when just setting out to develop.

Most advanced countries were heterogeneous before later allowing diversity.

In historically diverse ones, one race was in charge, keeping others under strict control via racist policies, segregation etc.
It might not be politically correct but it helped them.

Buhari never promised us transformation, he promised us change and we have seen it. He's been fighting opposition instead of corruption. His administration lack control of command, imagine him saying he never knew the IG relocated to nassarawa, the list is just endless, if he has done anything, tell us because ive not seen any.

Even as my hate for politics is of equal proportion of my love for this golden transformation. This prompts me to irately embrace the political practice and bring the reflection to my country.

The United Arab Emirates (UAE) is a popular destination for many people around the world when it comes to leisure including many Nigerians. The country also boasts of a vibrant and diverse expatriate community based on the comfortable lifestyle obtainable there.

However, very few people realize the kind of transformation that has occurred in the country since the 1970s when it was formed.

According to Wikipedia, the UAE consists of seven emirates and was founded on 2 December 1971 as a federation. Six of the seven emirates (Abu Dhabi, Dubai, Sharjah, Ajman, Umm Al Quwain and Fujairah) combined on that date. The seventh, Ras Al Khaimah, joined the federation on 10 February 1972. The seven sheikhdoms were formerly known as the Trucial States, in reference to the treaty relations established with the British in the 19th Century.

Dubai in Nigeria particular is an international hospitality and leisure hub with wondrous architecture and sights. See the shocking transformation it has witnessed in less than 3 decades.

This goes to show that with dedication and purposeful leadership, countries like Nigeria can achieve rapid infrastructural and economic developmemt.

Some of you yet believe that their own tribe or people can deliver Nigeria when if you visit their State there's absolutely nothing to show for development, they forget their tribesmen received allocation and yet joined the bandwagon to perpetrate evils and under development to their populace , forgetting we are all in the same shit hole or a shit boat taking us aback from the real world.

I am saying democracy CANNOT work in Nigeria at the moment due to the current psychology and orientation of Nigerians who are part of governance and in general as well. The power sharing nature of democracy plus our psychology makes it difficult for drastic decisions to be taken to enhance huge positive growth in country. Actions that will greatly improve the state of country will always be sabotaged by powerful people because it doesn't benefit their own selfish interests. Therefore we just need a capable, intelligent, visionary and morally upright leader to rule with absolute powers for about 40 years. Trust me you will see REAL change.

Any leader who failed to develop the country should be KICK-OUT of office.
Re: You Will Not Believe This Transformation Of The UAE by frostmate2: 9:23pm On Mar 13, 2018
Emiratis love their country. They want whats best for their country. They also like money like we do but the difference is the aforementioned. When you love your country you have vision for it, this why they are where they are now. They have a system though not pefect in any way but works out best for their people, Emiratis.

We do not love our country. We do not want whats best for our country. We are selfish so only think for ourselves. This is why we loot for selfish reasons. We do not plan so that we can create a better future for the next generation beacuse we do not have that mindset. Dubai did not become what it is instantly, it took years. It was a gradual process....
