NESTLE, MOBIL OTHERS LIFT NSE’S ALL-INDEX MARGINALLY BY 0.04%
Despite price losses that outweighed gains, trading on the equities sector of the Nigerian Stock Exchange (NSE) was on the upbeat yesterday, as major highly capitalised stocks, especially Nestle and Mobil appreciated in price, causing the All-share index to increase marginally by 0.04 per cent
Yesterday, the All-share index rose by N6 billion or 0.04 per cent to 43,073.45 from 43, 056.51 achieved on Monday. Similarly, market capitalisation increased by N6 billion from N15.402 trillion to N15.408 trillion.

TOYOTA INTRODUCES NEW ENGINE, IMPROVES FUEL EFFICIENCY
Toyota Motor Corporation is set to raise the fuel-efficiency bar in the automobile industry as it has announced plans to release a new powertrain for its vehicles in a few months.
To many new vehicle buyers, fuel efficiency is usually an important consideration. This is because the less fuel used the more money saved. Unarguably, Toyota ranks highest among top fuel-efficient brands; it offers many vehicles with impressive fuel economy.

NIMASA, BPE PARTNER TO REFLOAT NATIONAL SHIPPING LINE
The Nigerian Maritime Administration and Safety Agency (NIMASA) has expressed willingness to partner with the Bureau of Public Enterprises (BPE) to refloat a National Shipping Line.
The Director General of NIMASA, Dr. Dakuku Peterside who disclosed this during the official visit of the Director General of the BPE, Alex Okoh to the headquarters of the Agency in Lagos stated that shipping to an extent defines the growth trajectory of any nation especially as it relates to seaborne commerce.

FG DEVELOPING SOLAR ENERGY CITY, SAYS FASHOLA
The Federal Government is currently developing a solar energy city, the Minister of Power, Works and Housing, Babatunde Fashola, has said.
Fashola, who did not give details on how the government was going about the initiative, however, stated that the solar energy city was being developed in Jigawa State.

INSURGENCY: UNDP REBUILDS DESTROYED HOUSES IN BORNO
The United Nations Development Programme, (UNDP) has helped residents of Ngwom village in rebuilding infrastructures that were destroyed by the Boko Haram during the insurgency in Borno State.
The UNDP under its Integrated Community Stabilization of the North East programme undertook the project to rebuild Ngwom, located in Mafa local government of Borno state.
