I smoke
Anything smokeable.
I sniff every
Stuff sniffable.
I gulp down,
Without discretion,
Anything intoxicating.
I say words
Unprintable. Shame trails My every footstep; Dishonor tails My every deed; For I speak When I should Keep mute; I appear, tattered, Where I shouldn't. I rove aimlessly Every valley; Savouring high Drugs 'highing'. I tread virgin footways To bushes Yet undiscovered; To smoke kush, Unrefined. My name is inseparable From every Neighborhood pharmacy Where I, every second, Queue for tramodol. I have treaded a Path of utter rue; Cos no drug mentor Is, far or near, in Sight worthy A role model; Drugs has annihilated, Like an irate inferno, Every promising destiny; The "brilliance" illusion, Has slipped out of grasp. I'm a tenant in An abyss where Dreams faint And shatter; Where hopes Are ambushed And strangled; Where the future Is a beast: With fangs and Claws, malevolent; Where, I'm a comic Relief without pay. I send emissaries Of cries to high heaven; I'm a client of every Rehab center; The walls of every Synagogue choruses My name; I ransack everywhere For a solution; Yet solution refuses To smile at me. O dear father! If only thine Watchful eyes Canopied my movements Like it engulfs That livestock; If thine attention Jacketed my Every action Like it does Your own welfare; If you weeded my Friend list Like you mercilessly Sprinkle "condemn" On weeds; If only you Recalled that I'll one day wield The flag of your Legacy; You'd value me As the treasure That I am; Or I should have been. If only.... I'd be not a druggist. End Drug Abuse Now! |
