Who Is This Old Man? ABUAD Multi-System Hospital In Review

In Ekiti, there's a place. In that place, there's a school and in that School, there's a Multi-System Hospital. ABUADH is only a hi-tech, Ultramodern Hospital, first of its kind in the Sub-saharan Africa. It is a World of medical facilities. A layman, I am, in the field of medicine, but an automated device that would make blood, drugs, and other necessaries reach you with a simple press of a button wows me.This up-to-the-minute machine connects the Pharmacy, Laboratories, Modular theatres, and other operating theatres, Radio Frequency Cage and wards. Do you know what that means? No one drills patients around. No one tells you to go get a pint of blood from Venus, or submit samples in Mercury. All that would be taken care of, by simply handling a knob. How can I describe the Hospital services without a slight digress to Hippocrate's slangs? From Fluoroscopy, to Endoscopy, then, Colonoscopy, Gastroscopy, Brochoscopy, Arthroscopy, Bone Densitometer, Pet-Scan, Nuclear Medicine, Echodardiagraphy, ECG, Threadmill Test and all that.
Going by the school's confession, the hospital services include cancer treatment, transplant surgery, joint replacement and dental surgery. The very reasons behind Nigerians' compulsory medical visits to India. The last time I checked, Nigeria loses about 50b naira to medical tourism every year, and, here is a Multi-System Hospital, a product of that same amount.

Who is this Old Man? A man who founded a University at 80. Who is this Lawyer, that watched a University grow to the fastest developing, and, now, the best, in Africa? Afe Babalola is not much of an African. A black man hardly invests that much above 70, he would rather produce a document of wealth neatly shared among his kids. Afe must be selfless too. Instead of buying for himself Luxury, in form of private Jets and Expensive fleet, he has sustainably invested in humans. If his hospital alone would employ 2,000 people, how many workers would be there in his University as a whole? In a Country where Lawmakers spend 1.3b naira on Minimmie and peanuts, we need ,but, Just five Afe to make Ekiti a place of diverse employment opportunities. Now, Nigeria can boast of a first class hospital! Oh death! Spare Afe Babalola. Spare this young, Old Man, like you do to the Ocean quahog that lives up to 500 years. Let him live long like the bowhead whale, that lives up to 200 years. Preserve, in good health, this man of many Doctorates, like the Jelly fish that gets younger and younger. Like Tiresias, seer of Thebes. Like Epimenides of Crete. For, Perhaps, there are many more goodies he has in plan. May Babalola be as rich as the king of Timbuktu, who drank from a golden cup, ate in a golden plate and slept in a golden bed.
