Two soldiers and several armed bandits were killed in a fierce gun battle in Bawar Daji village in Anka local government area of Zamfara state, council chairman of the LG Alhaji Mustapha Gado told Daily Trust on Wednesday.
He said the troops deployed to the village engaged the armed bandits in a fierce gun duel resulting to the death of two soldiers including a captain.

Last week, at least 30 people were killed in Bawar Daji village in Anka local government area of the state by suspected armed bandits and cattle rustlers.

Governor Yari had in reaction to the carnage gave a shoot at sight order for any civilian spotted by the security operatives wielding rifle adding that they should not waste time taking any one caught bearing arms to court.

Alhaji Mustapha Gado said the corpses of the soldiers were brought to Anka town and then moved to Gusau the state capital adding that the fight continued.

"The commander of the troops was in Anka today from the Bawar Daji village, he came for reinforcement and a good number of military vehicles moved in to the battle field to reinforce those already there," he said.

He said he could not tell about the casualties from the armed bandits side until full details on the ongoing operations is fully obtained adding that prayer is being held for the success of the troops.

Nigeria is in a de facto state of war with the fulani marauders and the Nigerian government is playing and pretending otherwise..
I pray it doesn't consume all in her part, when the phrase "Somalia would be a child's play" is mentioned, people think those saying it don't know what they are saying..

Everybody should simply be armed and prepared for the dark days ahead..
Peace..!!!

The armed bandits will keep on killing the military until they become serious and proscribe the bastards by calling their real names i.e "fulani terrorists" and going after them with C4s, rpgs, anti-aircraft mounted guns and all sorts of destructive projectiles and weapons befitting terrorists.

You all are sooooo wrong on this. The soldiers and navy special forces were sent to fight cattle rustlers i.e to protect the fulani herdsmen and nothing else just like the report says.

Armed bandits?

Nigeria is still playing the ostrich, believing what it wants to believe.

Till they call the problem by its proper name- Fulani herdsmen, they will continue to lose men and property.

THE LAND OF THE RISING SUN MUST SET FORTH AT DAWN

I Won't waste my time saying RIP to any udiotic soldier that got himself killed by fulani herdsmen. In fact, any southern soldier that dies for Nigeria is a big FOOL! Nigeria is not WORTH dying for.
Like I said before, all soldiers who colluded and still collude with terrorist fulani herders to kill harmless people will be killed by the same terrorist herders one way or another.

On the one side there is the rustlers vs herdsmen and on the other is the herdsmen vs farmers clashes which is the more popular. The article is about the fg fighting to protect the herdsmen and doing next to nothing to protect the farmers...o I forgot...surrender your lands to fulani cattle herdsmen for peace to reign.
