Eject memory card then go through file manager to check what is eating your space. Check Texts, pictures, videos and APK on the first page.

OR

Use phone master to delete junk files.

Go to file manager-select phone/internal memory- check each folder (especially DCIM)- cut the files you have there and paste in similarly named folder in your memory card.
You should also check the folder' Xender' if you have videos there ,cut them and paste to your memory card. You should also go to the Xender app and change your storage location to SD card.
Another thing is, in your file manager, delete all apk files, you don't need them anymore. Also set your pictures and videos from your camera to be saved to your memory card. If your video setting in your camera app is set to Full HD, then a 2 minute video you make will consume over 150mb, imagine making it for 5 minutes!
Finally, if the memory card you have is not genuine, then you stand the risk of losing important files at any unplanned moment.

Bottom line, avoid phones with 16gig rom these days if you plan to use many apps.
