so I've been writing on and off for a while now, some of them pretty dark, some just my normal soul searching. I consider myself a weird personality and the only way I can explain me is with words I think...

now before I begin, a minor disclaimer: am not a professional writer, I do it for the fun of it, I just love words and stringing them to make SENSE is literary orgasm to me. I don't enjoy ambiguity in writings because they sound sweet but most times they don't send a message, and I feel if my writing isn't soul binding then it's not worth putting online.

so sit back and enjoy, I'll be updating them constantly everyday and I would really love feedbacks no matter how critical they are, I want to grow in writing. thanks

I've really wanted to hold unto the past

Keep the wounds fresh so it still stinks

Let my garbage pile up without taking them out

Always dwelt on the lessons but never moving on

And while the future is alluring

Calling me to greater feelings not explored

Enticing me with life's rubies and diamonds

The past keeps reminding me that it was once my future

And it promised even greater treasures

If only I'll leave my comfort zone and explore

But my comfort zone now stinks

Comfortably picking from trash cans because I'm scared of how others cook

My fresh wounds wants covering up

And the bloods has stopped flowing since no matter how deep I prod it

So maybe I'll just step out my comfort zone

But this time I won't count my steps

Or jump pavements because they're too beautiful

This time I'll walk freely and calmly

With a broad smile and shoulders high up

I'll take free walks down this street called life

And maybe if I stumble

I won't run back to my garbage can

I'll pick myself up, dust myself clean

And continue my majestic walk

Like I never even stumbled at all

Maybe then I'll find fulfilment!!!

And I had a dream today

I felt my hand around a waist

A waist I felt I knew

I smelt a hair shampoo

Coconut flavoured and smooth

It was all too familiar

A shape akin to goddesses

Heavenly and without faults

It was all too surreal

Then I saw your heart and it was horror

Rotten and smelt dead

I cringed in fear

You were a goddess outside

And a demon in your heart

I wonder how I fell for it

I'm tired of craving for love
Maybe it's time love found me
I'll stop running around looking
I'll wait in a place

Maybe just maybe
Love would find me here, waiting

You really tried by putting your words in the right context. You are good. What you now need is how to secure emotions on your writings. Poem, I believe centres on the ability of the poet to make his/her ready relish more and be deep in the words.

As I said earlier, you tried but you can do better.
