I Just tried Mtn 4g and the Download speed was between 10MB/s - 15MB/s  whereas with 3g you get maximum 700KB/s the Gap is too much  is it because of congestion? |

Deicide:Upload screen shot of the download speed. Many people here lie for mtn I don't know why. if they are paid agents or fanatics. By the way, was it a mobile device or a computer you experienced such download speed? |

Deicide: 10-15MB/s, hmm hard to believe, that means ur getting download speed of 80-120mbps on a mobile network. I use MTN too and highest I've seen is 44mbps, recently it has become slower than last year, these days I struggle to get more than 20mbps |

That's not true... Using Etisalat, I do get download speed of 1.3mb/s when downloading, and it's 3G... 2 Likes 1 Share |

Deicide: Theoretically, 4G is designed to be 10 times faster than 3G but I hope you know the difference between 3G, H and H+? HSPA has a theoretical speed of 7Mb/s while HSPA+ can hit speeds of 21Mb/s . 4G can soar up to 100Mb/s NB:- H and H+ are still under 3G technology but they are usually indicated separately by some network providers. Etisalat (9mobile) for example indicates 3G, H and H+ And you will see the difference in speed. But whenever you switch to 3G, your phone searches for the fastest which is H+ I do get peak rates of 10Mb/s on Etisalat and sometimes on Airtel. But now my Airtel is stucked at 3Mb/s max (H+) 3 Likes |

Hhenryy: Nicely said, Dont forget bandwidth availability also plays a major role too. If not expanded and we have alot of people on the network they wont be any difference between your 4G and 3G.

I prefer using 4G on my Camon CM...it consume less battery and it's equally very fast. |
