Mr. Sweat, playing his song on big screen should promote him but then greed is demoting him already. I was talking with a popular artist d other day and he said he's working his way to perform on BBN eviction show even if it means spending some money to lobby.

He didn't approach them for promotion. The fact that they found his song, out of nowhere and decided to play it means he has attained some level of fame. If they decide to use his music for commercial purposes, then he deserves to be paid. It's that simple. Even YouTube doesn't allow bigger channels to copyright smaller channels' content in the name of 'promotion' they didn't ask for.

If you play video games, there's a reason why top brands like FIFA approach lesser known artists for music to use in their games, because they know they'll have to pay less royalties (BUT THEY'LL STILL PAY!!) than if they approached already established artists.
