Kente Definition: Known as NUDOM in Akan, Kente is a silk and cotton fabric made from interwoven woven fabrics, native to the Arkansas in southern Ghana. Kent is made in the Akan region, such as the Kingdom of Ashanti (Bonwe, Adanwomase, Sakora Wonoo, Ntonso in the Kwabre area of Ashanti), and many other groups affected by Arkansas. Kente comes from the word kenten, which means the basket of Asante's Asante. Arkansas called Kane "Naderma," which means weaving. This is an akan and sacred fabric worn only in times of great importance and is the cloth of the king. Over time, the use of Kent has become more common. However, its importance has always existed, and it is highly regarded with Arkansas.
