If people don't know, white people have always vilified cannabis and saw the plant as something the indigenous people they colonized and enslaved did to liberate themselves. This is the reason why it was targeted by the US government in the drug war to use against black and Mexican people and put them in jail. It was all a psyops, because before the 30s, cannabis was very widely used all over the world by spiritualists, shamans and also doctors and natural healers as medicine. Also in the 70s when the leftists in the US political sphere were mostly hippies smoking cannabis who were for racial integration, peace, socialism, environmental and energy conservation, they used cannabis to crack down on the movement that was threatening to destroy the status quo. Now cannabis has succeeded in destroying the black community through arresting so many black men disproportionately to white men even though the use of cannabis is at the same rate between both communities.
Thus, exposing the racist criminal justice system as well as the for profit private prisons that need the criminalization of cannabis to continue as it is good for business where each bed occupied within a prison is paid for by the state thereby incentivizing police officers to fill up prisons, as well as the slavery of the prisoners that are used as cheap labor for companies to produce or package their products like Walmart, Starbucks, etc.
Another arm of the society that needs cannabis criminalized is the pharmaceutical industry which would have so many products put out of business for good if cannabis has a widespread use. Products like opiates for pain relief, all psych medication which manage/ treat conditions (or makes psych patients into zombies) but never cures anything, cures cancer as opposed to chemotherapy which hastens death in a very painful or cruel way or just manages to prolong life a little bit before the cancer comes back more ferociously and kills the patient, or other conditions like ADHD, epilepsy, etc.
The alcohol and tobacco industries hate cannabis because it directly interferes with their business market as cannabis users are less likely to indulge in other drugs, and because the plant can be grown by the user, it is harder to make money off it by corporations. Lest we forget, millions of people die each year worldwide from alcohol related motor accidents and other alcohol related accidents and also from tobacco related diseases like COPD, different cancers, stroke, heart disease etc, while there has not been one cannabis induced death ever recorded, yet these two substances have not been banned but encouraged to be used.
Religious leaders, media, education system and governments hate cannabis because of the inability to brainwash people and get them to believe what ever you want, rather than them looking for the truth. Spiritually, cannabis brings more self awareness and enlightenment than most teachers, pastors, imams, TV programs out there.

Please look into the real history of cannabis and why it was systematically classified as a Schedule 1 drug (meaning it has no medical benefit but harms people) even though countless studies in renowned peer reviewed journals show its efficacy in curing (not treating) cancer, depression, headaches, pain, epilepsy, ADHD, etc.

Do not fall a victim of brainwashing, always do your own research and form your own opinions on things. Never take anyone's word for anything except yours.

It's pathetic that some minds cannot stimulate themselves. Drug use is for what? Entertainment? They should entertain themselves another way. Nobody else wants to smoke alongside them, so they shouldn't force them to.

Air is the only free thing in this world, yet these daft smokers want to subject non smokers to the damage they willingly do themselves. They don't care if asthmatic patients are around them. Drunks are more sensible. These ones are insensitive and arrogant coupled with stvpidity.

If you ever drink to the point of intoxication, then you are inflicting far worse damage to your liver and other vital organs, than any weed smoker faces due to their recreational indulgence. Quite to the contrary, an earlier respondent to this thread generously listed just SOME of the numerous medical applications of marijuana, in stark contrast to the recorded death toll inflicted tobacco and alcohol globally every day.

I happen to despise drunkards and cigarette smokers with a passion, and the smell of tobacco shuts down my lungs very quickly, YET the aroma of good quality marijuana buds, is one of the rare olfactory pleasures of life that only a connoisseur would ever understand and appreciate.

There are ZERO medicinal uses for tobacco, and indeed distilled nicotine is one of the most potent poisons known to science. Virtually ZERO medical benefits are to be derived from copious alcohol consumption, which also is also associated with elevated risks of triggering terminal liver disease, along with a host of other documented health complications brought on by alcohol addiction.

Non smokers do not care about how intoxicated alcoholics become. Neither do they care about liver damage that is the their supposed portion.

That is the business of alcoholics.

But no amount of mudslinging toxicity reports for alcoholism will make non smokers hate alcoholics, because they are so much better than smokers who pass on second hand smoke to everybody in their vicinity.

Nobody cares about smokers killing themselves from smoking, but why do they have to bring everybody else into it? We don't care if marijuana is natural and cigarettes have tar in them, we just don't want to smoke with smokers for various reasons.

Chairman, the above photographs depict a gathering of 100% stoners, who LOVE she smell of weed. April 20th is the stoners annual smoke-up day, and if you attend, you are OBLIGED to get high as a muffug, either by firing one up yourself, or just breathing the air.

In states where weed is legal, there are VERY strict limitations on WHERE one can indulge, just as in most states it is illegal to walk down the street holding an open can of beer, so if you are worried about becoming "collateral damage" from stoner's fragrant fumes, have no fear, young grasshopper, for you are safe, and will never encounter stoners at work in public, UNLESS the date happens to be April 20th, in which case all bets are off and you might as well go with the flow, and get loaded with the crew around you.

What do you have to say about tobacco smokers? Aren't they everywhere and doing the same thing as these ones? Smoke is smoke. People smoke in their cars, in their homes, public toilets, everywhere you can think, even when hiking. I'm not specific about weed users- though theirs smells the worst and induces nausea and headaches- but all smokers because they're constantly destroying clean air for others. What is good about that?

Looking at that mushroom of smoke hovering over their heads, I wonder why people complain about oil exploration and its damage on the environment. Imagine people doing that everywhere all the day long at different locations. Disgusting.


My "fear" isn't "collateral damage", but that I just don't want to get nauseous and smell those horrible smells and I believe people who produce such smells should have chunks of their flesh torn out of them while they're living. Why? Because they're stupid and insensitive. How can anybody do that to other people? It's like eating garlic, speaking to people and spraying garlic juice all over them without caring.

On drunks. A drunk is a danger firstly to himself, hopefully if he drinks enough nobody will have him to worry about. But a smoker, especially ones who smoke things that make them high, is capable of hurting infinite bodies around him with his carcinogenic exhalations. Firstly, through second hand smoke. Secondly, it becomes a criminal to keep up its entertainment. Lastly, as a social menace who makes taxes so high.

I would rather sit at a restaurant where somebody is drinking than one with a smokers corner.

I could not agree with you more when it comes to how disgusting and nauseating cigarette smoke is, especially in a confined space, but where your opinion diverges from mine is on that testy subject of whether or not marijuana smoke is pleasurable to ingest, and delightful to smell in the air, as I feel is the case.

All the same, I will need to ponder over this matter whilst performing some impromptu analytical tests, in preparation for revisiting this learned forum with my findings at 0900 hours Zulu time tomorrow.

In the meantime I would very much appreciate the sight of ALL cigarette smokers and drunkards getting secured together with stout ropes, and then towed out to sea as shark bait. I won't miss any of them after they are gone.

The MJ smokers are the most irritating to look at. A mere glance at the photos shows people with tattoos who look like a bath came last a week ago, with sleeveless shirts, all doing ridiculous things with hair that is best left for the owls to nest in. They'll claim to be company execs if interviewed. However, they need immediate immersion in hot conc fluoroantimonic acid, then a shower off with some benzene.
