A young lady was seriously disgraced yesterday after being accused of witchcraft and also killing her new baby. The accused who sells fish at Okirighwre market in Sapele, Delta state - was followed by a crowd of residents who rained insults on her and called her a witch as they followed her in public.

According to them, they tried to give her a public humiliation in order to drive away the 'evil spirit' from her body according to their tradition.

There's no point in disgracing her publicly. They should investigate the cause of the baby's death and act accordingly. We need to stop some of these barbaric acts. It's well.
