yesterday.Pls any vital info on how to track d phn would be appreciated.She has d receipt of d phn,including d imei number(tnx guys).

I do know some police who track ur phone with ur imei number for 10k.. buh na ilorin dem dey... a friend of mine fone was stolen and we got it back..

"find device" app can only work, if she initially installed the app before the phone got lost and successfully finished all the necessary settings. apart from that... no any means

that not true that! I have been using find my device app since may any lost her phone. it works even without the app installed in the lost phone. the onlytinz necessary is gmail address and passward plus the if the location and data is turned on.

have you use it and trace back ur lost phone before??
better still op if the s6 is on patern or any key. i think you should rush to any GSM village close/around you and inform the software engineers working there if incase the criminal bring it for unlocking?? promise them a reward...

Do they still tk android phns for unlocking,no be dem go hard reset am thru recovery menu? Samsung need 2 do sumtin big about security on their phns like apple did wif Iphn through ICloud stuff.

yes hard reset can only wipe all your info.
but most of android smart phns this days. do request for owner google account and password.
and only software engineers can be able to change that phn file entirely...
if u r lucky nd inform them at early stage they can catch that criminal and ur phone for u..

I would add these steps as a must-do when you lost (or get your phone stolen):

1. Check your phone's last known position, if it's an Android, check https://www.google.com/android/find

2. Report your phone's IMEI so nobody could use it by using a service like this one http://imeipro.info/report-stolen-lost-phone.html
