Dele Momodu's father hailed from Edo State but was living in Ile-Ife where he met his mum,(a Yoruba lady from Gbogan Olofi) married her and they gave birth to Dele Momodu there because the father was the chief Launder of the late Ooni of Ife, Oba Adesoji Adefemi.He also studied Yoruba Language in his First degree at OAU, Ile-Ife may be because technically speaking he grew up in the Palace of the Ooni and he is mixed Edo-Yoruba that has lived nearly all his life in Yoruba land.
