Buhari Told IGP To Ignore Senate’s Summon – Adebanjo by nairavsdollars(f): 12:38pm On May 08, 2018
Chief Ayo Adebanjo, elder statesman and Afenifere chieftain on Monday said he is not surprised by the refusal of Ibrahim Idris, the Inspector General of Police (IGP) to appear before the senate saying President Muhammadu Buhari who appointed the police chief must have instructed him to ignore the directive.

Speaking in a chat with DAILY INDEPENDENT, Adebanjo who described President Buhari as a dictator said the president only obeys the laws he want and flouts the ones he doesn’t like, saying the service chiefs are only watching his body language.

“I am not surprised at all by the IGP’s refusal to honour the invitation of the senate. The IGP must have received instruction from his boss, who is President Buhari not to go”.

“When you hear things like the army colluding with herdsmen like General Danjuma said , the army don’t collude, they rely on the instruction of the Commander-in-Chief. No Army General disobeys the Commander-in-Chief and that General will still remain in office. That General would have been fired long ago”.

“So, I am not surprised that the IGP choose to ignored the summon of the Senate. He is only obeying Buhari’s direction” he said.
