Good point, EPL is a tough challenge since it is the best over 38 games which is why Liverpool has better chances of winning UCL vs the EPL with their set up/style of play.
The only thing is that it may be challenging for Chelsea to attract some top players if there are no prospects for UCL. Either way, I think we should target regaining our biennial EPL glory and make a run for Europa if the players are motivated.

The allocation of world class coaches without a chequered Chelsea history is fast dwindling. If Chelsea fires Conte it will develop an unwanted notoriety for instability. The issues were clear to the footballing world, the Chelsea team was uncompetitive this season with a paucity of quality throughout the team. More investment is needed and with no Champions league to play for, Conte will be the only attraction for experienced, big time players to sign.
