4. On your data back.

Nice but after that when u put on ur data it marks it as read so the sender knows you've read it.
There's yet another method which allows u to read the messages with ur data on, and it will be seen as unread to the sender.

Go to ur phone's homescreen and create a WhatsApp widget. Choose the 4*1 option.
This will enable u preview all WhatsApp messages received and u may choose to reply or ignore them as u deem fit. It will always remain unread at the sender's end unless you open it via WhatsApp.
