I Wish I Had HIV/AIDS by Nobody: 1:37pm On May 19, 2018
I'm tired of going on this way. I'm feeling more and more uncomfortable due to the pain my chronic throat issues is giving me. Sometimes, I wish I had HIV. At least, I know of some affected superstars living well with anti -retroviral treatment. But my unknown condition has defiled the conventional treatment I've been administering. Below is what I felt today..........

SMH.

It's fairly easy. Visit whorehouses in Ikeja, Agege, Mushin, Surulere, Apapa, Ajegunle and Obalende frequently.

Don't use protection.

FROM 6am to 10am

I woke up around 6am with an imbalance movement. I moved into the toilet to answer nature's call. It was hell. As I tried to force out the waste product, I felt a stiffness around my neck. Then it dawned on me that all nerves take part in the activity. I kept forcing it out with tears running down my cheek. It seemed as though the larynx, wind pipe or whatever it is called is now narrow. I couldn't excrete properly.

Mornings, people wake up full of expectations, I was all gloomy today. I slept for 9 hours yester night but it's as though I had a hangover. If I don't lie down to balance the neck, I don't feel at ease. even eating is with difficulty. I had to grind properly before I swallowed yam this morning. Still yet, I felt some discomfort as the food went in. It was as though it gets entangled somewhere before it passes through. I'm just tired of this sh*tty life at the moment!

Are there no clinics or hospitals in your area? Do yourself a favour, go and complain there.

what kind of man am I

Right now, I lack masculine qualities to qualify me as a man. I have no strength to work. I couldn't even put on the generator for my neighbour. People see me as a weakling without knowing what I'm passing through. I'm unkempt at the moment. Brushing or bathing is herculean to me..

God!! Panadol extra isn't working. I need a second shot at life. I'm useless right now to myself, my family and the society. From headache to regurgitation to high body temperature to nausea to imbalance to blurred vision etc. Hmmm....

The first step to being dead is admitting you're useless to yourself. What's so damning that you'd wish you have HIV.. Oga get up and fight your demons

Hmm.. There's no point again. I already have a worse ailment. I'm just saying it would have been better if my sickness was HIV than what it is now.

The orientation I once had was that HIV was the worse sickness ever. I guess I was wrong. People live additional 15 years with HIV. I doubt if the mysterious ailment I have can make me live up to that

If you are not dead then there's a high chance the illness will pass you by. I was meant to believe people with HIV pass through the same conditions as you during the last weeks of their lives.
You say you're not suffering from cancer. If true then there's hope. It's probably an autoimmune disease, those are well known for clearing up the same way they came.

You urgently need to change your outlook on life. I am not trying to be insensitive here, but there are people who suffer debilitating illnesses (cancer, cystic fibrosis, cerebral palsy, multiple sclerosis, muscular dystrophy, rheumatoid arthritis, etc) who have found ways to live life with gratitude and with as much vigour as they can muster. I think you could benefit from a support group to help pick yourself up. Read stories. Ironically, it is the people who have health challenges who usually have a perspective of life that prevents them from taking it for granted. Every moment is precious. Every breath is a gift.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but you said that you have been to the doctors' and they can't find anything wrong with you. You've had scans? If you aren't on a path of steady decline, manage yourself. Don't waste your days feeling sorry for yourself; you have only one life to live, and it will be over soon enough. The percentage of people who enjoy optimum health is much smaller than you think. Not everyone wakes up bursting with positive energy as you say; but they find away to make it through the day. They fight. And they follow their dreams in spite of their handicap.

Why can't you find a way?

Seems to me like you enjoy writing, and social media. You could start a blog. But you cannot be selling negativity; people run away from that. Give people who might be in a similar condition hope instead. Talk about how you're surviving. Stop focusing on how this thing might be killing you, and live. There's always a way if you're willing to move on. I'm sure that there are many people who would want to help you. But with your current mind-set they would only be throwing good money after bad.

let him spew what he wants. My heart has been steeled to take any insult/attack. My self-worth/esteem/prestige is close to zero at the moment.

If only I was close to some one affluent or in government, I would have been given speedy attention in one of the best hospitals.

I'm just a nobody despite my talent and degree. Hmmm

I've done that several times. I went to warri General Hospital and a private hospital but ended up wasting the money. The former said he had no device to check the throat (imagine!) and suggest I try out draw soup while the latter used something to drag out my tongue and beamed her torch. She said there was no lump.

I wonder what it is then that puts me writhe. Maybe it's scan I need or a proper check-up. I need some one in Lagos Teaching Hospital to help out. I Can't fund myself there at the moment.

You need an endoscopy. Someone at LUTH should take a look at you. Consults at teaching hospitals aren't expensive. N500. They'll tell you what to do.

He should go for barium swallow test, ive been there before, they diagnosed ulcer but I knew deeply it isn't ulcer,i go thru 80% of what he wrote there most times but I still live with it,i have problems swallowing food and when I eat too much I feel nauseous,at night I before I sleep I always tilt my bed to prevent regurgitation. It makes me very weak and pale cos I can't eat large quantity of food. My system changed drastically, urine and faeces. I also became susceptible to malaria and typhoid cos my immune system is low. I learned that if u keep lying on that bed continually u won't get anywhere.i am currently not working but I always keep myself busy. Whenever I go for tests all they see is malaria and a little bacteria. I also developed back pain cos I was lying down too much. Exercise helps alot,he should learn not to stay one place for a long time,be flexible.
He shouldn't wish death upon himself and meanwhile I've been going thru this since 2011 so I don't think it has anything to do with cancer.
