I've never used Xiaomi but I've used different gionee, gionee mad gan, their phones are very strong even with the badly cracked touch pad it's still going to work perfectly and their battery life no dey dissapoint, though I'm not those phones anymore but if I'm coming back to MTK phone I'll choose a Gionee over Xiaomi anyday.

Am think of getting either of the two but the screen size ratio and the feel of the xaomi is given me a second thought on the A 1 plus though I have use variety of gionee phones but if not for my budget I would have go for M7 which looks more matured compared to A1 plus. Whichever Xaomi is more popular these days in naija which I hope getting it fix if faulty won't be stressful.

M7 nice fone and specs.
Currently using Gionee m7 mini, I love the fone.

IMHO Gionee A1 plus is too cheap at this price as it houses the same processor used in Infinix Zero 5 (that phone is very sound for gaming).
I was and I'm still skeptical bout the price when I saw it on jumia owing to the fact that it's even less expensive that the less powerful Gionee A1.
