I've been thinking of shutting down my facebook account for a while now but I'm finding it hard to bring myself to do it. Facebook privacy is set at only friends but I keep getting friend requests from people on my phone contacts and I see them as well as 'people I may know'on my profile whenever I visit the account once in a while. How can I reverse this? It's very annoying, to say the least.

Unlink your phone number from your Facebook.

there is nothing you can do about it so long as you use app that requires access to your contacts. Go to you settings, then app. locate Google map/man control and control your settings

Thanks a lot. I've been able to resolve it my denying my messenger app access to my phone contacts, then moving forward to deleting mobile contacts here; https://m.facebook.com/mobile/messenger/contacts
