I bought a new iPhone 7 from best buy in Texas for 600$ and was told it will work in Africa. On trying to set it up i got a prompt that my sim card can't unlock the phone because of server compaterbility. We got back t best buy and we were told it's past the return grace period. We called apple engineers in Alabama and we were told that it's actually an unlocked phone but the model wasn't meant for Africa(US only ).

Please what options do I have to unlock it here in Nigeria or do I take it back to the US. Also note when ever I insert my sim both (mtn and Glo) the network bar appears on the top left.

You will need to get it unlocked by network unlocking sites. Look up this site, I've used them before. https://www.unlockunit.com/unlock-apple-iphone-7-012362
