@POLITICSNGR

More information has emerged on ex-president, Olusegun Obasanjo's meeting with Pan-Yoruba organization, Afenifere in Akure, Ondo state last week.

PoliticsNGR learned that at the meeting with the leadership of the group, Obasanjo listed solid reasons why President Muhammadu Buhari must be stopped from securing another four years in office. Obasanjo pointed out that Buhari had consistently dodged the issue on Fulani Herdsmen were responsible for the death of several people in the country.

He disclosed that the President's body language towards the activities of the Herdsmen was making the job of security agencies difficult. According to Tribune, a source quoted Obasanjo as saying;

"He (Buhari) often speaks from both sides of the mouth on the issue of armed herdsmen killing of innocent citizens. At times, he would say the herdsmen are not Nigerians; that they are from Niger, Mali, Chad and other neighbouring countries.

In the same breath, the president would say we should learn to live and cope with our neighbours, talking of the Middle Belt groups and that the crisis is an internal matter.

At another time while in the United States, he said it was the fighters from Libya that were behind the killings. So, if the Nigerian military were to act, it will be against the position of the president. Therefore, the military had to be careful."

Obasanjo reportedly added that he had restrained himself from openly speaking on the activities of the herdsmen, apparently not to evoke any unnecessary passion.

Bihari - yes. He speaks from many sides of all the pores on his face and mouth

Obasanjo - He is not better, can be likened to a monkey that jumps from one brach to another

But let them keep slaying themselves. Its better that way

obasanjo is a man that has equal tendencies to be good and evil, listen to him at your own peril, don't listen to him at your own peril... a necessary evil. ..

Why is it that we always ignore important issues and attack whoever is raising the issue, the only way nigeria can move forward is when we all comdem bad things no matter who calls our attention to it.

Tinubu is the boss of southwest politics. He is the one yoruba listens to. Obasanjo is just a scared rat running around because of his eternal fear of Atiku who won't even be the PDP candidate. The old man is afraid of his past catching up with him.

My brother , I tire for this people oo. Obj is not a saint and we know that. Does that remove the fact that he's telling the truth? The handwriting is on the wall for everyone to see. There are a lot of lapses about the way this country is ran by Buhari and is not worth anybody's silence.

Obasanjo should go and fùck himself.

He is an irrelevant noise maker.

A senile frustrated rouge.

He has no moral right to criticise Buhari even though Buhari is a colossal failure just like Jonathan.

The old fool should give us account on how he spent the 16 billion dollars on power project first.

By world standards, 1 BILLION DOLLARS CAN PRODUCE 1000 MEGAWATTS SO, 16 BILLION SHOULD HAVE GIVEN US 16,000 MEGAWATTS.

16 BILLION DOLLARS CAN EVEN BUY NIGERIA 16,000 WIND TURBINES.

Today, Nigeria can not boast of 8000 megawatts.
A country of almost 200 million people.
6th largest producer of oil in the world.
And since 1999, the federal government has spent almost 30 BILLION DOLLARS ON POWER projects.

Nigeria cannot boast of 8000 megawatts while Japan, a country of about 150 million can boast of almost 1,000,000 megawatts.

Obasanjo and Jonathan are supposed to die in prison.

OBJ isn't a saint and I support that he should be probed and prosecuted if necessary.

However a government that idolizes Abacha despite his documented human right abuses and unending repatriation of his many loots, has lost the moral right to do so.

Treating the killer herdsmen with kid gloves while unleashing the harsh apparatus of the state on a freedom seeking group will hunt this government in the long run.
