Please stop ranting like an illiterate dunce.
Your illogical reasoning is why you are referred to as lazy youth.
All you have been blathering is an incoherent mix of Revolution, agitation, curses.
The best that will happen is that zenith will increase the compensation they are undoubtedly paying. There may be some changed policies, and some punishments, but whatever foolish dream you have be it of billions, or contract workers becoming permanent workers automatically will remain just that.

When a colleague died in an accident a few years ago, (not on duty) his extended family turned the whole thing to a farce. It was all about the money they were to get. It was disgusting. That's whats happening here. I doubt if the lady has been buried yet, but all of a sudden, some disgruntled employees of zenith bank are anonymously trying to use her death to pursue their own agenda

what revolution do you keep blathering about? where are these empty codeine fuelled delusions of grandeur coming from?
small wonder. university undergrad of lasu. better go and work on your English and critical reasoning.
you are not doing the reputation of your school any favours.
lol... u just echoed wt the op and other anti-contract staff are fighting for, compensation and changed policies, better stop this idiocy before you get future lasu grads blacklisted from the banking industry as a matter of policy
you simpletons do not understand the fundamental facts - in the nigeria of today, it is an employers market, especially at that level. if they sacked all the low level contract staff in zenith today and put out vacancies at 50k per month, people would still rush for those jobs, with all your noise you would still be pushing for your friends to get such jobs.
a contract is just that. it is not a guarantee of automatic future employment, and it is typically not a job with a career path. it is meant to last for a limited time. it is renewed, but rarely renegotiated. You have conflated a contract job with an actual career. this is the same issue with telco call centers. people started working in what are meant to be temp jobs, get comfortable and turn them into permanent jobs.
understand this - the banking industry in nigeria has been able to stay non-unionised. that means they can wake up and sack anyone without any immediate repercussions. redress will be in industrial court and it will take years. and that is for permanent staff. for contract staff, you can all be terminated without notice or reason. it is a contract, not employment.
Re: Zenith Bank Contract Staff Dies, Knocked Down By Truck In Lagos (Graphic) by Nobody: 4:54am On Jun 04, 2018
why am i not surprised? a common thug looking for a pay out. the days when student unions stood for something other than political thuggery are long gone.
please go right ahead. understand that your reach is limited to the affairs of university students and your institution.
also understand that you have inadvertently shown your identity. if you are so foolish as to instigate 'lynching' or wanton destruction of property, zenith bank knows who to set the police on.
the world is bigger than the campus where you swagger about like power drunk thugs with more numbers than sense

Please feel free to go ahead with your madness. I am not an employee of zenith bank.
However, for the sake of lasu grads you better stop your idiocy now.
HR personnel are reading and taking notes.
Your default mode of semi illiterate illogical thug who thinks his reach extends beyond the institution is a bad picture.
Re: Zenith Bank Contract Staff Dies, Knocked Down By Truck In Lagos (Graphic) by Nobody: 5:36am On Jun 04, 2018
Behold the lasu undergrad
Zenith Bank already has your number. A noisemaker looking for a handout. Basically like the area boys or police who gather round an accident and start extorting the victims.
Carry on. Who knows, maybe you will hammer. Of course, like most of your ilk you will be too greedy to share the spoils equally and that is where the real thuggery will break out.
Your so called reach is limited to the zenith branches in your campus.
I'm actually not surprised anyway. When employees in big Nigerian companies die all sorts of parasites by tenuous association come out of the wood work. When my colleague died in an accident (after work hours) his extended family were all in our faces, dreaming of millions. People who barely knew the guy. It was disgusting. This is more of the same. Carry on.

[quote author=ruffhandu post=68152386]Ew! It's sad she died, the death of anyone is saddening.
But the OP sounds like a very pained contract staff of Zenith Bank. It's sad when you see your mates moving ahead of you. But, you know what?, If you prove your worth, another employer will price you higher.
Some contract staff joined the bank with one/and, then they run some part time programs and get a B.Sc. Some luckily get converted to full staff, while some are not.
Some are not because they couldn't defend that certificate (we all know some pay their way through), others are not absorbed because they come out with poor grades, I know one that came out with 3rd class(he was actually worse than 3rd class), and that was why he wasn't interviewed (company policy).
My advice to those in that chain. Get your B.Sc, and with your experience, look elsewhere.
For those employed as contract with B.Sc, pls manage it. You knew before you took up the employment. Some B.Sc holders earn less than you. Look for 500k job and leave where you are, stop blackmailing your employer. If you worth your onions, resign and they'll come begging.
You actually have what it takes to be an employer and do business with your employer, there is a hero inside of you. Please stop whining because you were not served crumbs, you can bake the bread in your living room.
The number of tickets you post only stands you out amongst fellow Tellers, your supervisors are paid more to manage customers and check to ensure Tellers post correctly and treat customers well. If you show you have outgrown that league, you'll be recommended for a raise.
To the dead lady. I don't think she died because she was a contract staff, nor because she went for cash movement. It may just be because she wasn't very careful in crossing the road, or the driver was careless, or the vehicle malfunctioned.
Any way, may her soul rest in Peace if it deserves it.[/quote. You must be very stupid for what you just said,is your soul that won't rest in peace
Re: Zenith Bank Contract Staff Dies, Knocked Down By Truck In Lagos (Graphic) by ashala(m): 6:22am On Jun 04, 2018
I lost a friend in this same circumstance some years ago in Okigwe.
He was an unconfirmed staff of First Bank PLC and was killed when heavily Armed Robbers intercepted their vehicle as they were moving cash from first Bank Cash center in Lokpanta cattle market to their branch in Okigwe.
What broke my heart was when the bank refused to pay his family anything with the reason that he was unconfirmed hence not entitled to anything.
My question is why send someone without benefits (contract and unconfirmed staff) on such assignments with lots of hazards.

has anyone noticed that the OP and some other posters against zenith bank opened accounts yesterday or the day before and are just making their first few posts. It's all lies. Please no one should believe this story. Fraudulent people everywhere.

may her soul RIP
its high time the youths of this nation do something about this contract stuff
I can vividly remembered when I worked with A&P Food, from Ikeja to Dopemu, Lagos as a contract staff for years, operating several machines, sustaining injuries,
the company was own by Indian
they uses our brothers, sisters, uncles, aunts and dumped them at anytime
the worse is that they will call U MARACHO if there is any little mistake, only God knows what it mean in their country
Nigeria is an independent country but why are the citizens still suffering from modernized slave trade ?
let's join hand to put an end to this bullshit
my brothers and sisters, our voice can be heard with collective efforts
I weep for my country people

I swear u have sense. This is why I wrote my resignation and threw it into Fidelity HR from the gate and left. People die on the job and they don't even care. This girl that died already has a replacement. No be me go do bank job again, I will rather work as baba ijebu agent
Re: Zenith Bank Contract Staff Dies, Knocked Down By Truck In Lagos (Graphic) by GetUmad: 7:05am On Jun 04, 2018
RIP to the young girl and may the Good Lord comfort her family.
Please don't let us capitalize on someone's misfortune to further our cause or stage an Aluta. It's rather unfortunate this happened. I would also suggest the OP remove the lady's PICTURE (I won't be surprised if her picture is even being used to broadcast messages about) . Let's respect the dead. You won't be happy to see your siblings corpse all over the internet being used to fight an age long battle of unfair policies in an organization.
Lastly, it's not the question of the mode of transportation, it's the question of the employers provision for an unfortunate demise of a staff on active duty. This could have happened even if she was able to go back with the bullion van. Bullion vans do get accident. Bullion vans do get ambushed. No security of occupants can be guaranteed in any case. When a tragic incident happens, we tend to look for whom and what to blame, but as sad as it is, death, when it comes knocking, only God can stop it if it's not yet time. She's gone rest with her Lord( though in painful way, however she's forever free from this horrible world) and may this never happen to anyone (not even her family again).
To those people that are very good and fast at sharing pictures online of people who died tragically, I hope you would be happy to see your Child, Sister, brother, wife, Husband, Father or mother's picture like that too one day being used to do "aproko" and spread unnecessary news. I hope you can already imagine how "sweet" it is seeing the lifeless body of your loved ones everywhere on the internet. Think about it!

They will always be here to make noise. This story reminds me of a cash movement team member that died is this same Alaba in 2014. Robbers gunned him dead, yea he was a contract staff oh, with about 8 kids or so. Guess what Fidelity did? They gave his fam 300k bank draft. It was just 2 weeks I got recruited then and I already knew I'd resign.

I am not proud oga....I am saying the fact..I might be poor but my dignity is in tact...why is it that Nigerians don't like to resign
By the grace of God ....I have escaped that poverty maybe you haven't but I have. I have paid my dues
God knows that I am not proud ..what I don't take is complaints and dehumanizing attitude...if you don't like a job...leave...you got choices or do the job and shut the hell up
It's you that would remember me when you don't have food to eat ! Don't go and die in a job that is not paying and be complaining up and down...your mates are taking risk to start up new firms and hoping they would make it you are here whining about salary....dude if you don't like the salary
It's option and stop disturbing us here and I have noticed you when you quoted me ...take a walk

Thanks boss. I never knew what awaited me outside oh. I just made that decision, and in feb this yr I visited my colleagues on my way to Elegushi beach on a tuesday mrn. They couldn't hide their shock. In 1 yr I already have pot belly, looks changed due to solid clothing. I just thank my stars I am no longer confined to executive decisions where I'll keep languishing in silence by wearing sleek suits and stuff. The debt that followed me from that job amounted to 1.3m. I paid all in a space of 1yr that I left. Others are still squabbling over 750k per annum.
